This one scared the heck out of me when I saw it in a theater back in 1971.

1, The Dead Zone (Walken's first great movie)

[Greg Stillson: The missiles are flying. Hallelujah, Hallelujah!]

    2, Alien

3, The Others—Nicole Kidman is a very talented actress

4, Halloween (the original with Curtis)

5, Halloween 2 (ditto the above)

    6, Inception

    7, Terminator 2: Judgment Day

    8, V for Vendetta

9, The Exorcism of Emily Rose (Laura Linney is terrific)

10, Let Me In, the foreign one (The Best Vampire flick ever made; the 12-year old vampire is chilling

Planet of the Apes. But it is interesting because it is no longer sci-fi!

Hard to even begin to think of all of them.

The Girl Next Door (based on Ketchum's harrowing novel) is one I will not forget even though I wish I could. Sorta.

Pitch Black, with Rhoda Mitchell (easy on the eyes), a Vin Diesel as the seemingly peerless Rodderick, is a dandy.

I saw the Abyss a few days ago. Interesting. I've seen it over and over and...

My youngest twin tops his list with 2001 A Space Odyssey, I find it boring and yet, I like very much the one where they make contact, 2010: The Year We Make Contact.

Of which, Contact (Jodie Foster; I'm a Jodie Foster junkie) is good due to her and her Matthew Mc.

True. Kind of a sub plot.

    Hey Enola

Alien movies are high up on your list - I'm surprised you watched a bad quality copy of Prometheus on the internet for free...
If it is such a great film, isn't it worth supporting the artists and seeing it in the quality they worked so hard to achieve?

It would take me too long to properly order a list, so in no particular order:

    Moon
    Alien I
    Alien II
    Prometheus
    Pandorum
    Army of the 12 monkeys
    Gattaca
    The Abyss
    Terminator 2
    2001 A Space Odyssey

    I'll probably think of more....

    2. Prometheus

Scandal? The government dispatched more firepower to arrest Nakoula Basseley Nakoula in Los Angeles than it did to protect its mission in Benghazi.

Source Code is a strange, yet good movie if one can "cipher" what the hell is going on. I guess it is Sci-Fi.

When he first wakes up on the train I laughed my butt off. I think it will take me seeing it about 4 times to really "get it."

Video of him waking up on the train:
