I don't wear seat belts. I never even think about them.
I read about people being ejected all the time but it seems only a very small percentage of people don't wear seat belts. So, is it possible?

I was like you.
The day I started wearing seat belts was the day I had a head-on collision with another vehicle that ran a red light.
The odd thing is that it wasn't the crash that taught me my lesson. I wore my seat belt voluntarily for the first time as I climbed into my friend's car BEFORE she crashed. But that's another story. Basically, seat belts are awesome and its a simple truth best not learned the hard way.

If you asked 1000 paramedics or 1000 doctors if they wear seat belts, I wonder how many would respond with something like: "I don't wear seat belts. I never even think about them. "
You must have an old car. All cars made within the last 8 years ding non-stop until you put the seatbelt on. In fact, I currently have to belt the passengers side too with nobody sitting there because I usually throw my computer, etc. on the seat and it dings non-stop.
Must be something about your generation. My dad is the same way... has refused to ever wear a seatbelt. When he got pulled over by a cop a year ago and given a citation for not wearing a seatbelt... he got pissed off at the cop!

Wearing a seatbelt is the samrt move for sure. That being said, I don't believe anyone should be forced to do so.

seat belts malfunction in a variety of ways.. be it the buckle or the retractor. Still the odds of them malfunctioning are minute compared to the success rate in preventing injury and death. You are 30 times more likely to be ejected from a vehicle without a seatbelt than you are with one strapped on...
Also most cases where a person wearing a seatbelt is ejected are roll-over accidents which are relatively rare.
One thing I learned when I was about eight years old is seat belts save lives and irrelevant sayings such as "when its your time, its your time" don't justify not wearing seat belts.
Nonsense. It sure does matter. Everything else being equal, a passenger in a heavier car will fare better than in a small car in a collision with another vehicle.

So, you wanted my opinion so you could discount it?
I didn't say it justifies not wearing a seatbelt. In fact, I said just the opposite. Wearing a seatbelt is the smart thing to do. However, I am telling you that if you think wearing a seat belt means you won't die, you are sorely mistaken.
