Uh no. Pop music had been around for years if not Decades before Michael Jackson showed up. What he did do is show what could be done with a music video if you were willing to spend a good bit of money and he added a few new dance moves to the lexicon. In fact he was far more of an innovator in Dance than he was in Music.
