The time for trying to see the other side of the discussion is over. A really is A. There isn't "another way to look at" death and destruction.

The hardline is anti-statism. The state is an illegitimate entity. The state is force. It is cold, bare violence. It takes liberty, which is an objective, observable consequence of our humanity, and shreds it; it takes life, liberty and labor and rends it into nothingness, inevitably. Neither God nor nature - however you may see it - created the state. Man did, in an attempt to enslave other men to his whim.

I'm proud to say that I hate the state and hold it as the most unnatural and unholy of institutions.

There's your alternative paradigm: you can stand with humanity, or you can stand with the state.

You've created a false dichotomy. The State does not only represent all things evil, and it was not created solely with the purpose of enslaving other men. Nor is that the only role it plays today. I feel a little bit like you've gone off the deep end.

It does not follow that the solution to all our problems is to destroy the State. What would it be replaced by? How would the world move forwards in a desirable manner from that moment? You've failed to show that the State is only death and destruction, but perhaps you'll succeed in describing how the absence of the State would lead to a desirable outcome? You do see why it is necessary that you do so, yes?

Look to Archaix's post, with a link to CNN report, on the difference between the Carter/Reagan recession, vs. the Bush/Obama recession. It seems that a small minority of economists and business analysts would agree with the claim that Reagan's administration handled an economy that was as bad as this one, started by W's administration. The great majority note that this is the worst economic crisis in over 70 years.

Are you claiming that Reagan inherited a worse economy than Obama? Very few reputable economists or business analysts would agree that Reagan's 1981 economy was nearly as bad as Obama's 2009 economy. But feel free to post a poll of qualified professionals on the matter. Perhaps you can prove me wrong on that point.
