Actually got offered another job in Cali sight unseen, but I turned it down.
Hewlett Packard, on the most vile, evil account you could ever imagine. I can see sulfur and brimstone spewing out of the customer's office across the street.

You should get an MBA w/ IT emphasis. Most of the IT people in my MBA program can barely string a sentence together - they are all foreign. Of course, I'm not IT but I've crossed over with some of them as I go through the program. You could probably knock out an MBA in 2-3 years and maybe even have HP pay for it. You'd have to act like you're interested in management though.
It was Sacramento, right? That was a good decision. Sac is a cowtown, I lived there for a few years.
I need an MBA like a hole in the head. I'm getting too old change careers. As it stands I'd rather be a sharecropper than waste my time living a plastic existence.
How about we sell your mom spam boy?
This really isn't the way stay on this site punk. All spammers deserve a special place in hell. Counting the minutes.
Summers are busy here and most days are hard to keep pace with all the requests that come in. During the winter, its slower paced and more manageable. There are some days I wish I never got out of bed, and there are some days where I dont mind getting up to go to work.
After the Big bank collapse in 2008, I hated working on Wall St. Thankfully, I was able to escape that sinking ship 2 and a half years ago.
I agree with Manu, experience trumps education any day and I would take any guy with 10 years of IT experience over a person who just graduated college with a Masters in IT anything.

Socialism is great until you run out of other people's money.
We have college interns here and they're clueless. Of course it doesn't help that they're working for the sleaziest customer in the world south of Monsanto.

They can't really teach how to handle those kind of situations in college I suppose, but the interns, the females, make great eye candy as they walk around aimlessly.

There is a guy in my group who got his PMP. And while I think there are great skills to learn in the process, just having a PMP doesn't mean anything. And failure after failure of his projects, I hope his boss realizes that too.

Yeah, project managers live comfy lives. 9-5, working from home etc. They don't really manage crap in my experience. Some do, but for the most part a PM is some person who kissed enough ass to get into a position where they don't manage jack or shit. This, of course, is not always true. Salesmen, OMG, salesmen are the worst. They live very comfy lives compared to the average IT guy. They sell crap, make a HUGE profit for themselves, and throw their bread and butter guys under the bus. Cha ching. I'm very sick of IT. I want to be a gun smith. 18 years in this biz, and sooner or later my job will get shipped overseas just like the rest of them.
