    Unhappy Work Sucks!

I work in a food factory on an assembly line. The company took 3 people away and made the line run faster. Just the thought of going into work makes me sick. Don't get me wrong- I'm not ungrateful for my job but I don't understand why the company has to make it more difficult for us that remain to do the job. When I get home at night I'm tired, hurting, dirty, angry and hungry.

    Does your job suck too?

I'm bored to tears in my job, but it pays well, I get a lot of vacation days, I'm saving a lot in 401K and I've got a 5 year plan.

i'm in HR. the term alone is scary...Human Resource Management. thats really how the company looks at the people that work for me: theyre a resource. its pretty saddening...

That's how mine is. Some days are slow paced, nice. Some days are crazy hectic and 14 hours long.

The thing I love most is some of the things we see on peolpe's computers. "I have no idea how I got this virus..." and then you find the stash of porn.

[should this thread be a sticky?]

my job makes me very sad. my girlfriend says i should just quit and find another job. that scares me. i finally got a 'proper' job. before this its been all menial jobs. i studied for social worker, but obv theres only few jobs there. so quitting probably means back to one of the badly paying jobs. i know shes right; if i do my job right i have no more room for my life and vice versa...so thats not really a choice. its just very scary, i feel so old already...

(ps: in real life, in general, im a pretty happy kinda guy, so please dont think of me as all gloom )

I wish I'd have been a gun smith or something. IT is wearing on me. I'm just bored to death with it.

I'm a stay at home mother of two, both learning impaired, and living in an isolated location, which means I do all the cook, clean, household stuff you'd normally expect, plus teaching two grades of school at home (with no teacher training) look after all the home farm stock, orphaned lambs and etc and drive 600km per week for their one day of school.... on days when we have an öff"day and there's endless tantrums, yeah life gets to be kinda overwhelming.... hubby works away 6 or 7 days a week, and there is no babysitter/ grandparent/ releif of any kind... I SO miss my job

I think that's why I enjoy working for a smaller company. You're with a big behmoth right? We get to be a bit agile, we can implement new projects/systems with ease. So I at least am not doing the same niche thing (managing exchange, or being a DBA) I get to do a bit of everything.
