As you know iZotope makes the best mastering software available on Earth! Mastering means tweaking recorded tracks to add punch, EQ and texture that makes it sound as pleasing to the ear as possible. They also make some other cool music processing software. As many of you know SOFT SYNTH software takes a MIDI keyboard that has no sounds and makes it into a monster! Iris is the most amazing piece of sampling soft synth software in history. Take a recording of a cat's purr and or meow and transform it into a musical masterpiece. It is real. It is psychedelic baby.

How are their drum sounds?

I currently use Superior Drummer that I got on sale. It focuses on trying to make MIDI based tracks sound acoustic.

Here is izotope's drum system with is a much better deal and has some cool sounding synth type drum sounds and simple interface. I might give this a try a some point soon, at least the demo version and report back the results.
