Most Christians consider the Bible as the literal word of God also and we don't riot when Islamic countries burn Bibles.

Burning the Holy Qur'an and demeaning the Prophet? Of course they become incensed. Why? Read on. Or don't. Or skip down to MY LONG, BORING POINT, WHICH I MAKE WELL, IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF:
Incidentally, he had no witnesses to this revelation of 23 years (except for "Jibril", obviously, and "Jibril" ain't around to talk.First, what they believe about The Holy Qur'an:
Muslims believe the Quran to be verbally revealed through angel Jibrīl (Gabriel) from God to Muhammad gradually over a period of approximately 23 years beginning in 610 CE, when Muhammad was 40, and concluding in 632 CE, the year of his death.
Scholars on the subject, and 95% of the Muslims believe this. The 5% are not counted as real Muslims by the 95%.What is says about the Prophet. The Holy Qur’an, Surah 33:40 (the best comparison is that means chapter and verse, even though that is too simplistic for reasons that have no bearing on it):
Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Apostle of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things.
"Seal of the Prophets" means the last prophet.YUSUFALI: Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things.
PICKTHAL: Muhammad is not the father of any man among you, but he is the messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets; and Allah is ever Aware of all things.
SHAKIR: Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Last of the prophets; and Allah is cognizant of all things.
My sourches for the first part of this post (check if you wish but they are correct). Or, look them up yourself if you care:MY LONG, BORING POINT, WHICH I MAKE WELL, IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF: This is why most Muslims get so bent out of shape when the Holy Qur'an is burned or any word is said against the Prophet.
Negative statements against the Prophet or the Holy Qur'an are punishable under Shaia. Indeed, their are people in prison for 20 years for demeaning the Prophet by speech in some Islamic Nations.
We should not be stunned when they riot when the literal words of Allah, delivered to the Prophet, are burned, for they see it as greatly demeaning Allah's literal words and by inference the Prophet/the last prophet.
In the Holy Qur'an, Surah 33:40:

Your comparison fails to recognize that it is a criminal offense in many of those nations to burn the Qur'an, and we can burn a Bible without anyone even caring. Defaming Muhammad is also a criminal offense, yet we can and do defame Jesus without any fear.
We are used to this and think nothing of it, but if it were a crime to burn the Bible or demean Jesus, punishable by long prison stints or the Death Penalty, we would have a different attitude.
In Pakistan?
Is it that big of a wonder that they go nuts over things we never give a second thought to?Blasphemy law in Pakistan:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blasphemy_law_in_Pakistan
Several sections of Pakistan's Criminal Code comprise its blasphemy laws. § 295 forbids damaging or defiling a place of worship or a sacred object. § 295-A forbids outraging religious feelings. § 295-B forbids defiling the Quran. § 295-C forbids defaming the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Except for § 295-C, the provisions of § 295 require that an offence be a consequence of the accused's intent.
Defiling the Quran merits imprisonment for life.
Defaming Muhammad merits death with or without a fine. (See below Sharia.) If a charge is laid under § 295-C, the trial must take place in a Court of Session with a Muslim judge presiding.
§ 298 states:
Whoever, with the deliberate intention of wounding the religious feelings of any person, utters any word or makes any sound in the hearing of that person or makes any gesture in the sight of that person or places any object in the sight of that person, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.
Between 1986 and 2007, Pakistani authorities charged 647 people with blasphemy offences. Fifty percent of these were non-Muslims, who represent only 3% of the national population.
There are a lot of things in the USA that are against the law here that are exceptable in Muslim countries. IE.You don't see rioting in the streets of the USA every time a little girls gets married to a 50 year old man.
A. What we do in our country is our business not theirs. Freedom of speech is a right even if some don't like what you do or have to say. They can KMRA
B. Unless they want us to start rioting and killing Muslims everytime they do things like marry child brides, stonings, killing gays and adulterers and anyone who speaks just a tiny touch negativily about Islam, cutting people's hands off for stealing and I can go on and on, then they should STFU and mind their own business. They live in a glass house and we have plenty of stones.
