    What is their real agenda?

What has Obama promised that he has carried though with? Oh yeah, that HC thingie that the majority of the American people oppose as crafted in the middle of the night without reading it.

Why would a critic of Obama's campaign give the Dems any good ideas? At the debates between Mitt and Barack, the Prez can use your question to score points. "Here's the Republican agenda, which doesn't look a lot different than the platform of 2004. Yet Mr. Romney here claims the Republicans would somehow get a different outcome using that platform. That begs the question, 'What is their real agenda'?"

As for defending the Democratic agenda, it is a matter of convincing enuf independents that the US didn't go as far into the toilet as we would have with the same 'ol Republican platform. However, maybe Republicans can convince enuf independents that 2 democrat scumbags ran roughshod over the Republican-dominated Congress and WH, which led directly to the housing meltdown & our present situation. Good luck with that, BTW.

Actually, two or more democrat congressional scumbags promoted the policies of the Clinton administration during the first six years of the Bush administration. Congress was held by democrats from Jan. 2007 - Jan. 2011.The meltdown occurred in the fall of 2008.

It won't be easy, particularly since Romney has now declared that he will remain "severely conservative" in his presidential campaign. (He wouldn't flip-flop on that too, would he?)

That's going to alienate two-thirds of the independents, women voters are going to show him what "Stand Your Ground" means in a presidential election, and Hispanics are totally, and justifiably, turned off by the empty suit.

He may as well toss in the towel right now.

You notice Romney isn't running on his own record.
It is difficult for any decent person to sit back and not comment on the anti-Semitism,racism ,sexism ,and all-around ignorance espoused on the majority of DA's posts,it's fucking sad when one gets a warning for simply being a decent person.

Of course not. It consists of little more than being the architect of Massachusetts' universal health care law upon which Obamacare was modeled and being a vulture capitalist, buying companies in trouble, shutting them down throwing everyone out of work, then parting out its capital assets for quick profit.

Plus, now that we're well into recovery, he would "reverse course".

Cue in the Looney Tunes theme music here...

Let's hope that Romney can do to the federal government what he did for all those failing companies.

I suspect the electorate will be doing that to him, as well as to some of his buddies in congress.

Obama will be the first of thousands of federal employees that Romney lays off.

And then the private sector will naturally take off. After Mitt's free hand inspires the for-profit sector to buy robots loaded with consumerist software, probably from China. They'll pick up the slack from all the rest of us who can only buy so much shit, even if we have a steady income. Increased demand, supply kicks in, all is well. Good luck with that, as well.

Why should he? Obama didn't in 2008. Of course, he couldn't because he didn't have one. This time around, he does and it's all fair game for criticism. That being said, Romney STILL has more experience than TFO did.

NO ONE's family originated in America. Everyone's ancestor had to trek from another country at some point to get here. People born in this land don't own it and the basis of this country is that it is accepting of all people from all over the world because that is how we all got here.

My family in part originated in this country and I have no problem with legal immigration. If people born here can't own land, who can?

That is sort of true, but its Obama record running against Obama in 2012. Romney only has to point it out to the voters.

Obama's not running against George Bush this year either, but that doesn't stop him from trying. Regardless, the point remains that complaining about Romney's non-Washington record after electing the Thin Skinned One is laughable.

He's not running against George Bush, but against the Republican policies that Bush and Romney embrace and damn near destroyed our economy. The burden is on Romney to defend them.

    Good luck with that.

Evidence? I think Romney is running on a smaller government policy, with people relying on some self respect, self reliance and instead of hand outs, hands up. Hardly policies of the Bush Administration.

Of course the conservative is running on a Smaller Government ticket. It's a talking point and no more. We have the degree of government we have demanded and we will do with no less. Romney may talk in generalizations but that's all he can do because he will never have the power to do anything about it.
