It is difficult for any decent person to sit back and not comment on the anti-Semitism,racism ,sexism ,and all-around ignorance espoused on the majority of DA's posts,it's fucking sad when one gets a warning for simply being a decent person.

Why are cultural conservatives so fucking hung up on having kids?

How do these things "take away" gun-owners "rights"?

That said, I am curious as to what rights (why the quotation marks?) of gun owners Obama has expanded
He signed a bill allowing the carrying of consealed weapons at national parks ,as long as state lalw allowed it.

He has done nothing to "decrease" gun "rights".

The GOP has no real issues to run on, so they have to dig into the archives and present old, tired falsehoods in a desperate effort to fool the most gullible.

GOP absolutely has issues to run on, Obama's lack of sound policies in almost all areas. For example unemployment, the economy, foreign affairs, energy and immigration.

All of which the GOP handled oh, so well, after we gave them the country on a silver platter. 2008 was paradise compared to 2000, right?

Good job, fellas. We'll have ya back real soon...

Blaming the Republicans and their idiotic economic policies until we recover from them, and then some.

We won't recover until a fiscal conservative gain office.

If you think after a wasted $800 billion in a failed stimulus, a 8.3 unemployment, $16 trillion dollar deficit which can all be traced to Obama you are dreaming if you think Obama will get us out of this mess. If anything we will be in deeper if he is re-elected this fall.

Tell me Chachma why won't Obama run on his record? Why all the side issues? Like Romney and his dog? What doesn't that have to do with the Obama non recovered economy, high unemployment, no budget for over 1080 days etc.

That's what's so insidious about Republican deception. They promise fiscal responsibility, then (of course) do just the opposite. The only thing we can be sure of is that they can't be trusted to do what they promise and that their real agenda isn't what they claim it is.

Bush isn't running this year, and blaming him will get TFO nowhere. Even the average American voter knows TFO has been in charge for 4 years, and what's going on now is his responsibility.

We like honesty. We would like Obama to run on his record of accomplishments during the last 3 1/2 years. He doesn't seem to want to do that. Amazing.

Obama made all kinds of promises to get elected. We now have 5 trillion more in debt in only four years and trillion+ dollar deficits and as far as the eye can see and all without a budget. Republicans can't do any worse.

Obama didn't promise to pay off the debt, and the Republicans have already done far worse (which is why it's President Obama today). Repairing the profound damage the GOP did to the American economy isn't as easy as flipping a light switch, but that isn't really your concern. What bothers you is how much he's accomplished, not how "little", because that means he's going to be rewarded with four more years.

    And that's a good thing.

No they didn't. TFO has added more debt in 4 years than any Republican president, EVER.

(which is why it's President Obama today).
It certainly isn't because he had a proven track record of excellence, that's for sure.

Repairing the profound damage the GOP did to the American economy isn't as easy as flipping a light switch, but that isn't really your concern. What bothers you is how much he's accomplished, not how "little", because that means he's going to be rewarded with four more years.

    And that's a good thing.
Let's examine what he DID promise:

"today I’m pledging to cut the deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office. This will not be easy. It will require us to make difficult decisions and face challenges we’ve long neglected. But I refuse to leave our children with a debt that they cannot repay — and that means taking responsibility right now, in this administration, for getting our spending under control."

    - Didn't do it. If you believe the administration has put forth a plan that takes responsibility to get spending under control, I have a nice, rainbow colored unicorn for sale, cheap.

“I’ve got four years and … A year from now, I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress, but there’s still going to be some pain out there … If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”

    - Didn't do it. Maybe he already knows he's going to be a one-termer.

Those are pretty definite promises, not a lot of room to spin, weasel, twist, distort, and otherwise make it sound like he said what he didn't say, and didn't say what he said.
    The ambassador died, Obama lied.

To paraphrase P.J. O'Rourke:"Republicans say government doesn't work, then prove that to be true whenever they win an election".

It appears that Obama's success really has them running scared, and that's a very good thing in every respect.
