DAbating Tournament

So what I was thinking was this: we organise a debating tournament last the whole of May. It could make people more interested in joining the site and contributing, if we collectively get the buzz going. Anyone else interested?

Needed:

• A list of topics -the more nuanced the better. No debates on Zionism, Islam or big government or anything too obvious.
• Supporting Banners, avatars, logo, etc.
• A list of volunteers to sign up for specific debates
• A schedule of events.
• An accepted structure: independent judges instead of a popular vote? Time limits? Points based on various criteria?
• Round-type suggestions: a devil's-advocate round? Teams round?

No one will, though. We'll just be stuck arguing with F&L about how X is affected by BIG GOVERNMENT throughout the whole of May. The other day I was arguing about Putin, the NHS and the intricacies of communist thought, and it was great -exactly what I signed up for in the first place. Let's encourage that.

2 Is utopianism dead? It was always undefined! I can't even remember the content of the Thomas More book!
3 Which is more revolutionary: capitalism or socialism? There are not defined!
4 Is athiesm worse than belief? Belief in what Yahweh or God?
5 Should the US have stayed out of WW1/WW2? MOST DEFINITELY YES!
6 Can Africa ever be a successful continent? Probably not.
