I see this guy didn't read Derbyshire's post. Or pooed-pooed it.

I Pledge Resistance, to the Nazi Flag, of the United Police States of America, and to the Private Federal Reserves for which it stands. One Corporation, under Goldman Sachs, unaccountable, with poverty and slavery for all.

And yet it lives on. Attempting to ignore it in no way diminishes the liberal racism behind it.

It's purpose was to counter past racism and level the field. It had its intended effect. Whether it's still necessary is arguable.

Again, the fact that there's an endless stream of it anywhere rightwingers gather is what's typical. You here acknowledge that you have to "weed them out". Just like this guy was "weeded" out. Which, we're now both basically agreeing, is typical. Which is what I said. Which is what you reacted to. Which you seem to be in agreement with, even though you're compelled to argue against it.

I googled. That's what turned up. Google for yourself and I'm sure you can find another source. After all, those are both blogs, all they do is repost stories they find elswhere.

Oh, definitely, but the fact that it remains speaks to the racism inherent in modern American liberalism.

I attribute its continuation to the message it would send if it were repealed. Better to have it on the books and not needed, than the other way around.

Except that you are wrong. They are NOT there very time rightwingers gather. That's a figment of your fevered imagination.

I would have been just as credible posting something from Rush Limbaugh's site and demanding that you find a source you like better.

No, because if they're on the books, they get acted on. That's as wrong as what they were intended to address.

I spent 25 years in the GOP and I assure you that if there are at least three conservatives in one spot, there's at least one racial/religious bigot. You can't be both conservative and tolerant.

Then why do they need sign inspection stations at Tea Party events to keep the pictures of the White House with a water melon garden in teh front yard out? In all the liberal protests I've gone to, there was never the need for an inspection station for signs. Sure, some odd ones get in the mix, no doubt, but at tea party events (prior to the censorship) it was more like 25%.

Because they know there were those eager to discredit the Party by doing exactly that.

    An objective measure, I'm sure.

To me, its not really a mystery why, and its not an attack on conservatism as a whole.

These people are a bane that your school of thought has to contend with, and I am sympathetic to the fact that it must suck.

    M
That may be true of white, hooded type of racists. Where do the brown and black racists congregate? Oh...... amongst other liberals.

Which is to say nothing of the racists that believe non-whites are incapable of competing with whites, and so must, on occassion, and even regularly, be given special advantages-codified in law-to make up for their sub-par performance. Where do those racists congregate?

How it is that a well-educated, well-traveled, intelligent mathematician, author, and commentator, able to write on a broad range of political-cultural topics, can have heterodox perspectives on human biodiversity and race relations? Surely, “racism” is the product of ignorance.

Actually, its the product of whiteness, coupled with conservative values. Those two elements are what makes one a racist.

That's one cause, but not the only. Racism is also part of a group-think mechanism whereby one may project his own failings onto a despised outgroup. Watch what racists accuse their outgroup of, and look at the particular racist making the accusations and I'll bet you'll notice that they nearly always focus primarily on their own faults, which they think they see in the outgroup.
