    Stones:

It is difficult for any decent person to sit back and not comment on the anti-Semitism,racism ,sexism ,and all-around ignorance espoused on the majority of DA's posts,it's fucking sad when one gets a warning for simply being a decent person.

One of the rare LIVE performances of any musician on TV. AND they did an amazing job with a simple Em7 to A song. The bass player and drummer they hired were excellent also.

People think(because of Easy Rider) this was a hit single ,but it wasn't:

Two masterpieces from Philles Records that didn't become hits:

Very good topic. Way to go.

A bunch is my answer (an my opinion). You get me started and I have to muffle myself to quit.

    This is Foreigner's best song.

This one didn't make it, I don't think.

One of AC/DC's most underappreated songs.

Maiden has several. This is one of them.

From years ago the Screaming Jets did this song better than anyone did or still has.

Ok. Enough from me for now.

    For now.

A few more from Apple Records:

This track has (amongst others) Jerry Reed,Charlie Daniles and (I think) Ringo playing drums with his top drumming influence: the great D.J. Fontana :

IMO David Crosby's best song ever,it was a hit in most countries ,but not in the US:

The next two records went to number one in the UK,but weren't hits in the US:

This record actually was a top 40 hit on Billboard(although just barely) ,but it's not well known today because it was a one hit wonder on a small label:

No artist was ever bigger on the country charts than Sonny James ,he also had a quite a bit of pop success as well.

While he is best known for his incredible voice,he also had a original way of playing guitar that I really liked(he plays the guitar solo on all three of these records).

Two of these records were originally 1950s R+B hits (Ivory Joe Hunter for "Since I Met You Baby" and Jimmy Reed for "Bright Lights,Big City") and a 1960s British Invasion hit( "A World Of Our Own" ,originally by The Seekers) ,in the late 1960s Sonny had huge country hits with these three records ,and they did hit the pop charts as well, but sadly, not the top 40.

He's an excellent singer and a very good guitarist! I like the songs a lot too.

People have no respect for a song unless it is or was a hit in the Billboard charts. This may be sad, but it is true.

This is off of Foreigner 4 (their fourth CD) and although it is one of the best songs they ever did--ever as in ever. It got very very little playing time. It made no charts in America (for sure) or anywhere (I'm pretty sure about this):

    I agree with you.

I have often wondered if (or, to what extent) some kind of favoritism is involved—favoritism is the wrong word most likely but it is the best I can do at the time.

Few people have even heard of this band and yet this song, indicative of the band, is one I've never heard on FM. Why not? Beats me. It is off Airbourne's 1 CD (they now have 2 out).

If one likes rock one will like this one or one doesn't like hard rock.

Underappreciated from Load, by Metallica (1996). It did not chart as far as I know.
