Teller, you're trying to rationalize this with race. I don't know if this Zimmerman dude is a racist, but it seems kind of silly that this whole national conversation turned to race from the git go. So we know that a kid was walking home from the store.
A racist asshole with a gun and a history of violence started stalking him.
The kid knew he was being followed and tried to flee.
The asshole pursued him while he tried to flee the evident threat.

There was a fight, and the asshole with a gun and no reason to pursue the kid in the first place, then killed the kid he had started chasing for no reason.
Still not enough to convict, but definitely enough to warrant an investigation. And, even if Florida law is bad enough to make this legally justified, which isn't an impossible conclusion to reach, the guy is still a fucking asshole and he deserves the blowback he's getting. Definitely not sorry for him at all.
It is really weird though, that nearly everyone with conservative political leanings immediately assumed the kid deserved to die, and were immediately drawn to stormfront to gather and distribute extremely racist propaganda attacking the kid. Just kind of an interesting trend, you know? That's probably the most interesting aspect of the whole media circus.

I have to agree. If the tape was not doctored - its pretty clear that's what he said.
All those of you who feel this is irrelevant are clearly not being objective.
And all those of you who have chosen this thread to complain about how too much race is being injected into this matter - well you've really chosen the wrong thread unless you like to pick losing battles.
As for the doctoring hypothesis - anyone can appreciate that's pretty far-fetched, with no evidence to support it.
