    Crazy Guy

The weirdest damn thing ever just happened to me. First, it's Friday...trash day, so my two cans were out. One garbage, one recycling, placed at the end of my driveway. I was inside, my wife was outside unloading stuff from the car, when a guy about my age pulls up in a small pickup, gets out, picks up one (empty) garbage can, and hurls it toward my wife, then begins cussing.

I caught most of this exchange from inside...blinds, and windows are open. He started in on some rant about our trash cans being just over the property line, cussing all the time, and walking toward my wife. I made it outside at this point, and walked toward him, which sent him scrambling back toward his truck. I looked down at the garbage can, then up at him, and said that wasn't very neighborly..he agreed, then started in again on his rant about the property line. I told him that if he came at my wife like that again, I'd kick his fucking ass, then told him to get the hell out of there.

He left, pausing long enough to threaten to call someone...it sounded like 'Ron', but he was on the other side of his truck by then, and I can't be sure of the name.

Guy sounds like a major pussy to me. It doesn't take a lot of balls to pick on a woman;love how he backed down when you came out. Feel sorry for the crazy guys wife, i'll bet he's a jerk. What I don't understand is if he had a problem with your trash cans, why didn't he just politely say something to you?

I don't know. That's what made it so weird. He could have stopped, and simply talked to my wife, or knocked on the door. Instead, he played crazy wigged out dude with anger issues. The trash cans weren't even on his property, though they were near a line of mailboxes that served the properties up a side road from my house. I assume he lives up that way, but I've never seen him before. And if he's not a jerk, he fakes it well. :/

Other than my oldest son, the other kids were still at school though, which I'm thankful for...I don't want them scared of going outside, and playing. (I've got the window open, and I'm keeping an eye on things).

I hate people like that. The good news is that they usually end up in jail. The bad news is that they never learn from it. They always think they're victims of the systems. Glad you didn't pop him one, though. Then you'd have ended up in jail and the asshole would've felt like he won something.

The guy was just so aggressive. It's also weird that even though I looked right at him, and right at his truck, I couldn't describe either of them right now...other than 'small truck', and 'guy about my age wearing a hat'. I would have popped him had he not backed away from my wife though, jail or not.

Well probably better that you didn't clock him cause who knows what kind of drugs he could have been on with that behavior. Next time i'd get his license plate and call the police. Having a security camera might not be a bad Idea either. That way if he attacks you, your wife or your property you can put the jerk in jail and sue his ass.

I like this idea. I'm browsing for suitable cameras and software applications now.

So. Crazy wigged out trash can dude made an appearance today. Just like Saturday, instead of following the paved street, and turning off onto his 'road', he ran his truck off the pavement well before the road, and followed the edge of my lawn for 30 feet, angling toward his mailbox. Driving very slow, and managing to knock over a flower pot at the end of my walk.

I hope he enjoys the wood screws I placed their on Sunday.

I like the way you think! ROLMAO! BTW if he starts running your cans over cinderblocks in the can will stop that in a hurry.

In the olden days they made those but with square heads that were fairly thick steel. No matter what way they landed, a sharp side was up. Probably the reason they changed 'em.

I can't do that. :/ I'd like to, but it would interfere with the trash guy's ability to empty them....they lift them manually, and dump them into the appropriate section of their truck. It would be worth it just to watch weirdo guy suffer a sudden hernia when he tried to pick up a trash can, and throw it. The timing would be iffy though. I'd have to place the cinder blocks, (which I do have), in my cans after the trash guys do their thing, but before weirdo gets home from his anger management classes, or work, or whatever. Meanwhile, Friday approaches, and I'll continue strategically placing wood screws until then. Friday, at about noon, I plan on spending outside, in a lawn chair, with my Kindle, reading John Scalzi's "Old Man's War". This will be my last Friday off for a while, so I hope it pays off.

well there wouldn't be any trash in it just the blocks. You don't want the garbage guys to lift it you want asswipe to run it over and damage his ride thinking it's regular trash. I understand cause we have a 50lb limit on how much a can weighs for them to empty it.

It was actually suggested to me by a cop after some dumbass ran my cans over for fun. I was outside picking up the trash when the kid came back for more mayhem on my street. He didn't see me behind the cans I guess cause he was heading right for me when I straightened up. He pulled away at the last minute just missing me.

Anyway I hope you flatten his tires. sounds like he has issues and needs to be knocked down a peg or two.
