I never mentioned anything about SS, I said your job you retired from had something to do with the government.

I'm a Vietnam vet, so I was a "federal employee" of sorts during my military service then. I also worked less than a year for the state of Nevada when I tutored for the university. I've worked in two careers, electric power generation and distribution and in communications, the latter for most of my working life.

None of that has anything to do with my success in financial planning and investing. I could expound on that but doubt if you'd benefit from my experience, out of sheer contrariness.

If liberals are so good with money and investing, why do so many sponges vote democrat?

Why are so many sponges rural dwellers in red states because they vote against their own, and the country's, best interests?

Because they are smart enough to know that they, and the country, are best served by the least intrusive government.

Yet they need them, and accept them, and continue living in a state run by people who shouldn't be running a three-legged race.

and still have the integrity to realize that an ever-expanding class of helpless children in need of an all-powerful nanny is a particularly sign of decay. Beats the "I want my Obama bucks" crowd any day.

Yeah. Being a poor conservative living government-hand to mouth in a Right-To-Work-For-Less state beats being a citizen actively making his country the best it can be and standing on his own two feet while doing it. I'm beginning to wonder how many right wing posters here are now on the public dole since the Republican financial meltdown.

You consider the "I want my Obama bucks" crowd to be citizens actively making this country the best it can be? They are standing on their own two feet? Im beginning to wonder some things about the progs' collective grasp on reality.

Ask a "prog". I'm someone who has always stood on his own two feet, and then some, and expect others to do the same, including conservatives who play the victim card.

You clearly don't expect others to do the same. If you did, government wouldn't be sending out 80 million vote buying checks every month, to victims.

    n
    1. Brit slang or dialect food obtained by begging
    2. (Cookery) Canadian dialect a Newfoundland word for food
    [of unknown origin]
    prog2 Brit slang, archaic
    n
(Social Science / Education) short for proctor [1]
    vb progs, progging, progged
(Social Science / Education) (tr) (of a proctor) to discipline (a student)
Obama bucks were the hilarious attempts of some less evolved conservatives to claim we are all welfare queens I believe.
