So they let you play for no pay? That's cool to have fun like that, but how are you going to pay for the gas?

    Neegah please.

Again, meh neeg, definitely consider a career in nursing. Once you start making money, you will feel much better, and then try to get paying gigs. They are not easy to find nowadays, but if you network, you can make a couple bucks. Last gig the crowd yelled, "Freebird." And unlike most bands, we actually obliged and played it in its entirety. Just get out there and have a good time. But definitely get a job so your parents can stop sending you those monthly checks.

    ^Evidence?
The fact that my Jewish parents aren't as rich as yours.

That's cool to have fun like that, but how are you going to pay for the gas?
From the money that the band got paid, plus CDs and T-shirt sales.

We will take that is a "you did not get paid a cent for the gig."
    Wrong, they paid me well.

It's not easy for YOU, but it's sure as hell easy for me!

Well, I'm glad you're having a great time at open mics, I used to do it too when I was a kid.

But definitely get a job so your parents can stop sending you those monthly checks.
Again, don't confuse my parents with your parents, they don't spoil their children like that, nor are they rich enough to do so anyways.

    2. My talent speaks for itself and so does my resume. It's up to individuals to decide what kind of music they like or don't like, I'm just doing what I'm doing because it makes people happy and it pays the bills, thank God, so I guess I'm ok.

    3. I don't need to prove anything about any of my friends. Whatever videos, pictures and other info that is availible online is all you're going to get, so I suggest you go on youtube and find videos of me opening for America, if you're that interested.
    Well then it's obvious that:

    1. Your opinion about NLT is about the same as your opinion about yourself, all BS.

    2. Your talent is mediocre at best.

    3. You have friends? Looking and the mirror and talking to yourself about yourself isn't considered having a friend. Your mother doesn't count either.

I saw America 25 years ago (At the FAR tail end of their popularity) performing at the Fresno Fair....By now they must be performing in coffee shops, little league parks, and high school dances.

    Which venue were you at?

Scandal? The government dispatched more firepower to arrest Nakoula Basseley Nakoula in Los Angeles than it did to protect its mission in Benghazi.

Dude. Foghat played at my high school. In the Gym. We all got a freebie taste in the middle of the day, (They played Slow Ride), and the show scheduled for Friday night cost me a whopping 4 and a half bucks. Money well spent, but they tinkered around with 'Slow Ride', and made it....meh.

$4.50 Oooo that's a cut from 1978 when nose bleed tickets were $8.00 bucks at the New Haven Coliseum. I didn't see FogHat though, I saw Tull, but still.

I'd trade Foghat for Tull anyday.

    In the shuffling madess
    of the locomotive breath,
    runs the all-time loser,
    headlong to his death.
He feels the piston scraping --
steam breaking on his brow --
old Charlie stole the handle and
the train won't stop going --
    no way to slow down.
He sees his children jumping off
at the stations -- one by one.
His woman and his best friend --
    in bed and having fun.
    He's crawling down the corridor
on his hands and knees --
old Charlie stole the handle and
the train won't stop going --
    no way to slow down.
He hears the silence howling --
    catches angels as they fall.
    And the all-time winner
has got him by the balls.
He picks up Gideons Bible --
    open at page one --
old Charlie stole the handle and
the train won't stop going --
    no way to slow down.

Does every thread here turn into a pissing contest between Ganja and Snouter?

Indeed, it is unfortunate that some 50 year old losers are being so hateful because they're jealous that younger people happen make a living with something fun. I mean, I really don't understand Snouter sometimes, I always give him such a positive attitudes for his musical accomplishments at open mics and I'm always happy for him when he gets free beer and the occasional $25 for his creative abilities, so I'm not sure why he has to be always so negative when it comes to my career, rather than just say "nice job, congats, you deserved to play those nice gigs and make a few hundreds", but maybe he's just going through a mid-age crisis, so we'll have to be forgiving.

10 CD's? LOL, try about 70-80 maybe. You have to remember, this is America that we're talking about, it was a sold out show, therefore, lots of people.

    Free beer?
No, money...AND free beer/food, OF COURSE!

I'm not sure you understand how popular they still are. I hear their songs on the radio almost every day. The tickets were $80 at the show that I've opened for them, and that's what they usually charge.

    Which venue were you at?
The Coach House in OC, and it was completely sold out.

So no, no high-school dances or coffee shops.
