Okay, since you won't do it, a simple wiki lookup shows that democrats lay claim to the young vote, which is a group often advanced as one so terribly inconvenienced by the requirement to have a photo ID. Then there's the black voting bloc, which obviously is effected by the requirement, if you believe those who scream "racism" at the drop of a hat. Then of course, the illegal aliens, which you refuse to acknowledge would vote overwhelmingly for democrats. Need I really go on?

You do bring up an interesting example of how voter photo ID is misused. In Texas, student (Democrat) ID isn't valid, but CCW permit (Republican) ID is fine.

That's the perception and the reasoning behind Texas' disenfranchising students while giving people who hide deadly weapons on their persons a green light at the polls.
