I for one will go on record as not outraged at all. I found Rush's blatant misogyny both refreshing and amusing. Most of the time, these sentiments are couched in thinly-veiled esoteric, convoluted arguments about "freedom", but Rush (and a lot of posters here) just cut right to the core and told the truth about what they think.

In reality, Smeller doesn't have a problem with what Limbaugh said, he has a problem with Limbaugh (someone on the right) saying what Limbaugh said. This is just yet another example of a bunch of frustrated leftists, acting outraged, trying to get Limbaugh off the air to silence him and it won't work again this time.

Rush typically illustrates liberal absurdity with absurdity, to make a point. Liberals don't get that. It was wrong to use those words and because of the choice of those words it has totally taken away from the point he was making about the larger issue in that if women want to have sex, fine, just don't expect the rest of us to pay for your birth control.

The reason Rush wasn't "fired" is because he's a better businessman than Imus. Rush owns his own show and can't be fired by anyone but himself.

You may have a good point there.

If advertisers pull their money from the show, perhaps various stations across the country will stop carrying his show. But, I'm guessing most stations have nothing to replace him with...well...nothing cost-effective anyway. I mean, I guess they could all try to get a local guy to fill the slot.

We'll see,as I said on Monday I listend to him for the first time in eons and half the ads were GOP ads for Super Tuesday (which ends in a few hours),the other half were PSAs.

This whole thing has been nothing but a lot of free publicity for him.
