Nonsense. No one is above the law, no one is below the law. ie, within its jurisdiction, the law is universal and applies to everyone, including lawmakers.

Additionally, the law cannot be subjective. It cannot simply be someone's opinion that a law has been broken. It must be objectively provable

Nothing I suggested contradicts either one of those statements.

You contradicted it by saying the law is neither universal nor objective.

Its not my fault you have your own definitions of universal and objective.

No, you obviously have your own definitions. Mine are standard. Yours are probably irrational and eccentric.

Jeebus, guys like you want the government out of things like the environment, but you want the government deciding who is and isn't mature enough to have sex?

CR is correct,is there has to be some legal demarcation point for everything,or else you have lawlessness.
It is difficult for any decent person to sit back and not comment on the anti-Semitism,racism ,sexism ,and all-around ignorance espoused on the majority of DA's posts,it's fucking sad when one gets a warning for simply being a decent person.

Who the fuck do you think decides it now?

How old do you have to be to graduate high school? College? Age is just a number. The government can give all kinds of standardized test for everything else, why not adulthood?

I can understand why an 18 year old would rather have a 4o something boyfriend. Just hang around those walking vegetables of the '25 Is The New 18' generations under 30 for a couople of minutes and it will become immediately obvious why.
President Josiah Bartlet: Sweden has a 100% literacy rate. 100%! How do they do that?

Leo McGarry: Maybe they don't and they can't add.

The government isn't in the subjectively defined crime business.

It's not as if we have some well-defined litmus to determine objectively whether one 14 year-old is mature enough to handle sex with an adult and another too immature. Nor would it be possible to know in advance whether the law would consider your 14 year-old lover mature enough, or whether you would be committing a crime by sleeping with them.

Consequently, we simply have to make sex with minors illegal period.

An 18 year old woman might have a lot to teach an old man.
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature.... Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.

It sounds to me like you want to get some young, tight, virgin pussy legally.

What government official decides who is and isn't "mature" enough to have sex?

How do you make sure they don't inject their own bias into it?
