I plan on doing some more NYC night pics from Brooklyn and the Jersey City side soon. I was down at Jones Beach this morning and there isnt too much to take pictures of right now. But in the next month or 2, there will be migratory birds passing through Long Island and if I get off of my lazy ass, will go down and hopefully get some osprey and hawk shots.

As for the beach itself, there are more interesting spots out east on both the north shore and south shore. I just gotta pick out a spot or 2 and venture out there.

I will now have nightmares about pythons, but I think they're beautiful. They (and all snakes and scorpions) scare me very badly.

Sometimes living in AZ isn't the best choice for a snake/scorpion phobia...

Pythons are constrictors and are not poisonous. When they see their prey, they attack by wrapping their body around their meal and suffocate them until they die. Ive seen the snakes get fed and its pretty amazing. Also, the snakes arent that big, they just seem big because of the angle I shoot from and the lenses I use. Most span from my fingertips to just past my elbow.

The bigger ones are unsettling though.

I have always loved ALL reptiles.

Lizards, snakes, frogs, turtles [ not reptilian, tho ]

Anything creepy crawly or otherwise squeamy, is cool.

Don't play with snakes or wear shark teeth. They are not pets and should be left in the wild to kill rodents.I figured they left me alone for years and I'll return the favor. It should be against the law to own one, they have taken over the Everglades and have no natural preditors here. Some get huge and kill pets.A few fools were killed by their snakes.Every now and then the news reports another 100lb. or larger snake has been found in somebodys yard.Google the problems florida has with these snakes.they even kill the gators and other wildlife.

I always caught a critter , snake, frog, turtle, something, every spring, and cared for it, fattened it uo, and let it go, in time to sleep away winter , healthy, and fat....then go on to a pleasant, and hopefully long life.

I do agree, certain large animals need the space and freedom , they're size requires, and we shouldn't kill them, unless for food.
Now, I have my orphaned gerbil , and that I can keep.

Garter snakes always somehow escaped on me , though. Really creep my neighbors out, when I bring my critters on the deck to play.

Where did that pic. person go?
    Very boring D A , right now.

    Needs some NORMAL fun.

Even snake pics would be more fun than shitty politics all day.
