Ron Paul gets booed for advocating the Golden Rule. Wow.

This is what I've been trying to say here, over and over. But now here's a clear-cut example, of how we have departed from basic Christian principles in our foreign policy, and some are cheering this on!

At the debate tonight in South Carolina, Paul advocated the Golden Rule, in how we treat other nations. In a state where (I'm assuming) there are many so called christians and conservatives, he got booed for that. This is scary to me. Strangely, a minute later he got cheers when he said we don't need another war, but maybe those were from the more sane people.

Of course, people are talking about this on twitter and youtube. And of course, Christians are looking bad, although who knows if those people who booed were Christians. I hope they weren't.

Here are some tweets from tonight:

golden rule = BOO! murder people = YAY! i refuse to accept mainstream reality of pro-life killers. I substitute my own where freedom reigns

At tonight's Republican debate, Ron Paul said we should have a foreign policy based on the Golden Rule. He got booed. We are in DEEP trouble

How can anyone boo the golden rule? That's like booing someone for not wanting war... oh wait. #EndTheWars

Crowd is booing Ron Paul's invocation of the golden rule. Mighty Christian of you folks. #SCDebate

The Golden Rule gets boo'd at #SCDebate. Heck no, Ron Paul! We don't like that kind of humanity. We only teach that to our kids for giggles!

A room full of "Christians" boos the Golden Rule. - Ric Stewart

I'm scared. The Fox debate audience just booed Ron Paul proposing that we apply the golden rule.

Dear Rick Perry, the "Golden Rule" was different than peeing on your enemies corpses. #scdebate

Oh my God. Ron Paul just got a room full of Christians to boo the Golden Rule. YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP. #SCDebate

Yeah, let's boo the golden rule. Phony Christians... #SCDebate
How can people boo the Golden Rule? It might be the 1 thing all *decent* people can agree on. We teach it to our kids. http://bit.ly/AuA7FE

South Carolina booos when the golden rule is brought up? This is why I have no faith in America......

NEW RULE: If you boo when someone says foreign policy should be guided by Golden Rule, you can't say America's a Christian nation anymore.

    It goes on and on....
And if you want it, come and get it... for crying out loud!
'cause this love that he has given you was never in doubt.

It was disgusting to hear the brainless warmongers boo Dr. Paul, the voice of reason, and support the SATANIC warmongers on stage. I think I mentioned it previously, but if that is representative of SC at large, I feel less sympathy when mother nature has her hurricanes do what they do in that area.

I don't know if they even understood what they were doing at that moment, and the ramifications of it. They can claim they weren't booing the Golden Rule, but Paul's foreign policy position... but I have already seen with my own eyes that some republicans (on freerepublic.com, for example) really DO reject the idea that we should treat other nations the way we want to be treated. I brought that up to some people on FR, and one lady said, "I don't care about being friends with other nations, I want them to fear us." In other words, military aggressiveness, pre-emptive war and hyper-interventionism is FINE (even though we wouldn't want to be treated that way by other nations, a point they always ignore) because it keeps us "safe" in her mind, when other nations "fear" us.

I also think that a lot of Americans have simply never thought about that before. So I'm actually HAPPY that Ron Paul brought up the Golden Rule in the debate, even if he got booed, because it's getting people to actually think, and talk about the justness and morality of our foreign policy.

The sad part is, there are still so many people who haven't woken up to the fact of the corruption in our own government, the lies, deception, and unspoken agendas... so, when people hear Ron Paul say some of the things he said in the debate, of course they are going to flip out and get mad, because they truly think we're "good" and we're doing wonderful things (by going to war all over the world and bombing people) And until they wake up and realize that our government does not have our best intentions at heart, and are not honest, they will continue to cheer on the wars, and boo people like Ron Paul who have the courage to stand apart from the other candidates. Personally, I don't know how anyone can NOT see that the others are all typical dishonest politicians, and phony, big-government conservatives. But I'll stop ranting now.

The "conservatives" who supports anyone other than Ron Paul is a NEOCON. What is interesting is the "liberals" have clearly morphed into NEOCONS also for the most part or they would also vote for Ron Paul. So the liberal vs conservative thing is another meaningless dichotomy.

lily, although I'm not a Christian, as somebody who actually respects Jesus, I get offended when you compare him to a racist piece of dog shit like Ronpaul.

Having said that, I'm still a Ronpaul supporter, and I sincerely hope that he gets to run against Obama.

    Conservatives: Booooooo!!!!! Booooooo!!!!......
Ron Paul: But we don't need another war! The last thing we need is another war!
    Conservatives: Booooooo!!!!.....wait....Yeah! *Applause*

Fucking schizo conservatives. They've been abused so badly by right wing pundits and fucktards that they don't know WHAT to think anymore.

Nobody is comparing him, we're talking about what happened at the SC debate, he brought up the Golden Rule when asked about our foreign policy, and as soon as he made that point, people BOOed! Paul bases his view on the teachings of Jesus (Jesus taught to do unto others as you would have them do unto you) and for people to booo that teaching, is basically booing Jesus. (Or so it seems, but as optimus just said, those people seemed to be confused. One minute they're booing, the next minute they're cheering. I think it was probably different people who cheered, but who knows.)

Yeah, it was (and IS) bizarre, what is happening in this country. People truly are being brainwashed by the controlled media. I think what happened at that debate could be a real wake-up call, though, to snap people out of this asleep at the wheel state of mind, and the manipulation by the power hungry warmongers and the MSM.

    1. Jesus was also anti-capitalist, so what, does it mean you and other Republicans will change your views on the economy?

    2. Separation of Church and State does exist, and for a reason.

    3. Iran doesn't follow the golden rule or Jesus' teachings either, they keep threatening America/Israel and funding terrorism. They deserve every bit of the ass kicking that they are about to get, they REALLY asked for it, and have been for the last 30 years or so.

    4. Stop acting like a dumb "extreme-left" college student, you don't even smoke pot or own a Che t-shirt.

Who gives a shit, Obama is your next president and you better get used to it.

^Yes 302Riz, the radio host and optimus didn't seem to realize that although FOX does not want Ron Paul at the debates and have blocked him from participating in the past, there were probably some Ron Paul supporters.

And I agree with Ganga, let's observe separation of church and state and not have the government have any policy that favors zionism.

With all of the momentum that Ron Paul is getting, it will be hard for all of the networks to ignore him.
Actually, it will be interesting if Romney bows out and only Ron Paul is standing if the GOP will give him the nomination.Interesting times are ahead.

I tried to find the video clip of FOX preventing Ron Paul for participating in a debate years ago. Here the psychotic, zionist, irrational neocon nutcase O'Reilly arguing against facts.

O'Reilly says he appreciates the "lively debate" when all that happened was O'Reilly presented lies and Ron Paul facts.

YOU indicated the booers and cheerers were the SAME folks! That is the point! They were NOT! As far as your secondary observation, yes those "conservatives" who booed the Golden Rule, those warmongering creatures, yes they are definitely satanic. Next question! And make is snappy, I gotta head out to the open mic in half an hour!

As you know Lily there are self-proclaimed Christians on the right who are anything but. This just goes to show how lost the Republican party is. Both parties need a GPS to actually find the will of the people.
