Before 1870, there were only 300,000 something peoples (including Arabs, Jews and others) in the ENTIRE Greater Israel, so your assumption that the Arab villages existed ALL OVER the land cannot possibly be true.

Dayan means that Israel removed a lot of those villages during the war in 1948, but those villages were there only because the Zionists made it possible for those Arabs to move into Israel to begin with. The Zionist have been building Israel in the 1800's...by 1948, there were many Jews and Arabs there because the Zionists created something out of absolutely nothing, and because the Arabs attacked the Jews in the 1940s, many of those Arab villages were destroyed during the war.
