I'd do it.
My friend is the manager of a restaurant, and informed me that I could visit when she's working and get a free meal.
Assuming it is a given that this is not going to be a first date, but rather a second or beyond, would you consider it poor form to take a date to a restaurant where you could get free/discounted service?

If by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."

When will the world learn that a million men are of no importance compared with one man? [Henry David Thoreau]
I've done it...my friend was a waiter though, not the owner/manager. And he offered. My date thought it was cool that I "knew someone." LOL
God, that chick was hot...hottest girl I've ever dated and way too attractive to be dating the likes of me. She relocated to Atlanta, thus ended the brief relationship.

If shes hot go ahead. If shes not take the meal and run.

Hi, buzz kill here. I'd think it was cheap. I don't think you need to spend a ton of money on dates, but a freebie, no I wouldn't like that at all. I once had a guy take me to a Stars game where we were in the nose bleed section, only to find out he'd gotten the tickets comped from someone he knew. I wasn't impressed. Use the freebie meals when you aren't on a date. Keep in mind, I'm a little high maintenance but really most women are.![]()

I see, so she should just put out cheap? God I fucking hate men like you. You're a dime a dozen because you see women as cattle. Then again a lot of bitches see men as an easy way to make bank and do nothing except spread their legs.
Who is this post directed towards, me? If so, one - you're an idiot. Two - I'm saying me and jwreck know how the real world works BECAUSE women do generally go "where the money is." To deny that is to live in a world of delusion.
How you can twist and distort other people's words like that is beyond me. You better stop assuming things about people, because you're constantly wrong when you do it. Stop it and start THINKING before you write and go on your usual tirades.

I'm not disputing that many women are sluts who would do anything for free ride with some kind of sugar daddy but then again I don't live in an urban cesspool like you do so I'm a bit unfamiliar with that level of human depravity.

Not mentioning any names but I suspect some of the single dudes here should drop to their knees and be thankful for any chance they have at a date with a real woman. Don't screw it up. I'm with Lulu. Save your freebie happy meals for non dates.
Sparkly Mary (12-12-2011)
i'm also with Lulu it may seem cheap to your date. If the two of you had been dating for a while then that would be different but not in the initial stages of getting to know each other. I aslo agree you should check with you friend to make sure the offer still stands,it will save embarassment.
Woman tend to look at things differently from men. We look at the big picture from the begining. Are you husband/mate material. In a mate we want to know that a man has finished growing up and has his act together. We don't want bro before ho's,party all night, frat boys to settle down with. We want a man who can take care of our potential family on his own in a pinch. You guys tend to look at the short term of when will I get layed. If your failing to provide for an early date no matter how silly it sounds, it may send up a red flag with your date that either you are too cheap and don't think enough of her or that you can't pay the bill.
