Thank you. I have a friend who won't post here because of him.I've tried to explain that underneath the abrasiveness he's not a bad guy, and a lot of what he says in in humor. But this person is convinced he is evil, and he refuses to even consider anything different.

Alright, who did I offend and how do I make amends for it? I've said a lot of shit in anger that I never meant and a lot that I did. My anger management isn't very controlled but I'm working on it if people would just step off long enough. I won't bother your friend one bit if comes back here. I'll even put CCC on ignore.

I think it would make things more interesting around here if he posted again... because even though he's a conservative, he and I differ on a few important issues, namely foreign policy, the wars, and how big of a threat "Islamofascism" actually is...So I think there could be some interesting debates if he were to come back.

I won't mess with him. I barely remember him but I know that last encounter was not cool. I have serious anger management issues. Hate, no. I'm sure it felt like hate at the time but if an apology will get him back then I'm not above it. I'll put him on ignore and we won't even have to interact. My goal here is not to run off people, well maybe 1, but that's a different story. Fact is I'm tired of fighting. Am I through with it? I don't know, but I'm weary of it.
I tell you what, you bring him back and I will give serious consideration to quitting the site altogether. I'm ashamed of my conduct, not every time, but definitely in this one. This is really the best I can do. There are scumbags on this site who deserve a lot of crap, and I get a lot back. I'm sure I deserve some of it, but there comes a time when you just have to walk away and take away from the animosity if that is what it takes.

Anyway, I sent a message to him, but I haven't heard back from him yet. He probably won't want to come back anyway, but I figured I'd try. I do think the Christian thing to do would be to forgive, but I also understand if he just doesn't want to deal with this site anymore.
I did hear back from Jim (Banky) and he just said that he's not into the "shouting matches" here at DA. But he definitely is shouting on fb, about the whole Islam thing, and political stuff, so I guess it's ok for him to do that there, where few people actually challenge him...
