    MY puter Crashed!

I am now on a ancient PC.

I was on last night when the nasty little virus struck and hid all my files. Net book only cost me $269 Two years ago, but will cost me $200 to fix. This sucks cause I don't have the money! I saw a Toshiba laptop for $299 and another net book for as low as $239. I could try to get the computer manufacturer to send me a something to clean it for $50 but if It only comes in CD then I have to buy the equipment to allow me to use the CD with the net book. Whoever makes this virus shit up should be shot.

Needless to say I won't be around DA as much cause it's back to sharing with the kids.

Sorry to hear that. There is no backup disk for that thing to restore a previous disk image?

Doesn't take discs. guy at best buy tole me to call the manufacturer and see if the can send out a flash drive to clear and restore it. If not I'm shit out of luck. I hate using the big PC. Gotta fight the kids and it's old and doesn't go as fast as my net book did. but on the upside the remember me feature seems to work with this computer, go figure.

If it was porn I'd get it. Actually I've never had a problem with any of DT's Porn sites. I was doing the typical posting on my group pages on Facebook. I logged onto Bare naked Islam to find something to post and it crashed. Anti virus tried to warn me but I wasn't fast enough pushing that tab for a sweep.

I did a recovery on a friend's laptop the other day. No disk. Are you able to bring it back to factory settings. I have never used a netbook. What kind is it Queen?

Asus Eee pc. I don't know how to get it to factory setting. I'm not even sure it would still be there cause local disc C 109 GB free of 139. I don't know how much space there was on my hardrive before this but I'm not left with much. Guy said it was a Modem virsus or something like that. He also said that my files and programs were in there somewhere. It keeps saying my file indexation process failed, hard drive clusters are partly damaged segment load failure, ram memory reliability is extremely low.

I know have a new bucket list entry; learn how to repair computers!

Dreamy thought I'd give you an update. I tried to fix it like the video but couldn't find a factory option at the begining. I searched for it in what files are left. I began pushing buttons and got the internet to pop up. I can't seem to restore it and will have to contact the manufacturer to see what to do. I don't sign out, I minimize and put it on Hibernate so I don't lose the connection. Seems to be working so far. There must be a factory option somewhere but like the internet connection it's hidden.

Yours might have crashed but mine died! Five years of faithful service and it kicked the bucket on me, took me a week to get back online!

Seems to be something going around. I've spent the last 4 hours returning my computer to factory settings and reloading everything. Lesson to all: do not spill a glass of wine on your laptop. It really messes up the mother board and the hard drive.
