    Your unpopular music opinions

I do not care for primal scream's "rocks"

I think Neil diamond's jazz singer album is seminal!

I think every ramones song sounds the same.

    The Smiths.

I'd rather eat glass than listen to that guy sing.

The Cars music sounds all the same

Rap is not music, it's poorly written poetry and rhyming to a beat.

The only good album Michael Jackson ever made was Thriller, thus making his talent somewhat over rated.

Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin sounded great, too bad you can't understand a word he's singing.

James Brown, that's dancing?? More like he has a ferret in his pants.

The Ramones were horrible and disgusting. I am speaking from a musician's point of view who is better than the Ramones and has a big penis.

Nirvana: Most over-rated, over-hyped band ever.

Scandal? The government dispatched more firepower to arrest Nakoula Basseley Nakoula in Los Angeles than it did to protect its mission in Benghazi.

Rudy Vallee had a great voice, and was a charismatic entertainer.

I want this on my tombstone.

There was an epidemic in January 1980 which rendered musicians incapable of writing meaningful lyrics forever after.

Songwriting aside, Johnny Ramone pioneered Punk Rock guitar playing, he had a very unique style/tone (nobody else sounds exactly like him) and he's got perfect rhythm, no sloppiness. You couldn't play like that and don't pretend you could.

James Brown, that's dancing?? More like he has a ferret in his pants.
That's funny, but his dancing style is very very difficult and almost nobody can really do it, same goes for his singing style. Let's face it, jokes aside, he was a genius and one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived.

    Unpopular opinions:

Duran Duran- One of the most overrated bands EVER!! A few ok songs here and there, but that's about it.

Annie Lennox- She's absolutely nothing special and very overrated. I don't understand the big deal about her.

Patti Smith- A talented songwriter and unique performer who can't sing very well and needs to take a shower and shave ASAP!!

Kings Of Leon- Overrated narcisistic idiots who are not even as good as Duran Duran. A few decent songs, but mostly totally crap.

Muse- They SUCK!! NOTHING good about them whatsoever. Total shit.

U2- Great band overall, but no lead guitarist in the band. The Edge is good at what he does, but very overrated as a guitar hero. Best guitar work on a U2 song BY FAR was B.B. King's on "Love Comes to Town".

John Bonham- Great drummer (in some ways, one of the best) who had absolutely terrible timing most of the time. Led Zeppelin sounded great together because all of them were amazing (but very sloppy) musicians, so they were perfect for each other...they would all speed up and slow down together. Individually as instrumentalists, they were not on the level of The Who, The Beatles, Cream or even The Rolling Stones, for the most part, but as a band, they were just as great in many ways.

George Harrison- Most underrated guitarist, as everybody KNOWS he's one of the best and that every note he played was perfect for the music, but because he wasn't a show-off, he isn't given enough credit as a guitar genius, who influenced pretty much every real guitarist/musician that came after him.

Elvis- He's the KING of Music all-around, not just Rock'n'Roll specifically, as he was also a master of country, gospel, blues, r&b and pop. Chuck Berry is the REAL king of Rock'n'Roll!!

I listen to TV theme songs on my Ipod when I need a pick me up.

I would rather listen to Air Supply than Led Zeppelin. Most of the time anyway.

    Bohemian Rhapsody sucks ass.

This is actually a plus in their favor; no need to worry over which album of theirs to buy, and you only need one. I happen to like their one song, though.

That's okay; it's a self-indulgent Boomer thing, and like a lot of Boomer bands he doesn't really make much sense outside of the context of his times, kind of like Hank Williams, or Doris Day. I liked Doris's last album, by the way; I'd forgotten what a great singer she is.

Indeed, and even with all the fame and accolades, he's still shamefully underrated; probably the only true Mega-Talent of the last century, and also would have been a truly great actor as well, if he had ever been given half a chance at serious roles, and not just the 'Elvis makes a movie' stuff. He had plenty left in him when he died, which is the tragedy.

Chuck Berry is the REAL king of Rock'n'Roll!!
Nah, Elvis was better; you're just anxious because people are figuring out rock and indie music doesn't need lead players any more, and hasn't for a while now. Rhythm guitar, drums, and keyboards and singers are where it's at now.

Find a decent acoustic guitar and some overalls, Jack; the times, they is a'changin' ...
