Cain accused of sexual harassment, but anonymously, with no details, no evidence?

    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1011/67194.html

Is there any evidence that Cain has done anything at all, besides the anonymous testimony from Democrats who want to politically defeat him?

And these people are saying that he did 1/100 of what Bill Clinton did? I thought that, according to Democrats, that QUALIFIED a man to be president, not disqualified.

BTW, what exactly is a "physical gesture that is not sexual in nature but disturbs" a woman?

Are they accusing him of (gasp) winking at someone????

    Get a rope.....!!

These people are really desperate. It's starting to sound like Herman Cain is for-real, if they are so scared of him that they feel they must pull this sort of thing on him.

Cain has flatly denied any such wrongdoing, and pointed out that investigations of some allegations that were made against him 15 years ago found them baseless.

If true, all it proves to me is that he's a healthy hetero male.

I do think it is interesting that in Clinton's case, it was his "personal" business. But, in Cain's case, it's a smear. Why?

Clinton was doing it while serving as President of the United States. And then he sent his wife out on the TV circuit to lie about it for him! There's a big difference in my mind between a little sexually-charged talk and getting a BJ in the Oval Office.

It's hard to know if sexual harrassment is real in a lot of cases. It's usually a he-said-she-said situation. Some chicks will also initiate or go along with sex talk until it's to their advantage ($$$) to get "offended". Amirite?

It's just a matter of time before we find out what the allegations from 15 years ago, were. And what the investigation's conclusions were.

All we know now, is that he "made gestures" that "were not overtly sexual in nature", but which "made the women uncomfortable".

Sounds sort of like they wore high-heeled shoes in his presence.

    Off with his head!!!

If only journalists would look into Obama's school records as hard.

If it was not "overtly sexual" in nature, what's the complaint? You know, to your high-heels point...some chicks will get dressed up in tight little pencil skirts and five inch FMPs to go to the office. Then if a man says a fucking word, they're all "offended" and feeling "harrassed". Fortunately, most HOT chicks take a compliment well and don't mind the attention...well...unless you're a troll. The type of girl that gets offended is usually not hot.

I guess they've been told all their life to feel better about being a frumpy bow-wow by building up their "self-esteem". So, when a man finally does come on to them, all they can think about is how offended they are.

He likely hit on them and they saw dollar signs. I mean, ultimately that's what most sexual harassment is, anyways, isn't it? Unless of course there was unwanted touching in which case it COULD be sexual assault, depending on the details, of course. But asking a bitch for sex isn't harassment.

Fat women make me "uncomfortable" when they wear clothing they obviously shouldn't. Indeed, I nearly threw up at work because some woman had her belly poking out from under her shirt. I would fire anyone who can't cover themselves properly, male or female.

Also, what is it with overly large women and their absolute refusal to wear bras. While I notice it's extremely prevalent in the black community, it's spreading like wildfire. I don't care what race you are, that shit is disgusting. I mean, there is little you can do to make a big person attractive but wearing clothing that shows their belly and doesn't hold their tits in place only serves to further put their fat, disgustingness on display!

What exactly is "sexual gesture?" Did he put his fingers in a V and stick his tongue through them? Anyhow, big yawn. 20 years ago and the claims seem vague at best. This kind of thing is a dime a dozen in politics anyway. What is the point of hush money if they don't keep their mouths shut? People love to get their panties in a twist and they get offended at almost anything so who even knows if this is valid.

Guess I didn't express it very well. I meant to point out that lots of women cause themselves more "discomfort" than it sounds like Herman Cain ever did. How many of them ever sued themselves, for putting on high heels in the morning and walking around like cripples for the rest of the day?

Reminds me when the NYT printed a story about McCain having an affair with one of his staffers. Pure bull shit.

Harassment arises out of unwanted repetition, so long as there wasn't any sort of wishy-washy responses. If there is a definite no and the person says not to ask again and they are asked... then I can see it being harassment. If a bitch is asked for sex or hit on, and doesn't say no and doesn't say not to ask again isn't being harassed when they are asked again. Indeed, if one says "not tonight" or "maybe some other time", they should EXPECT to be asked again as they left the option open.

I'm sorry you don't understand that.

I bet Cain is now sorry that he said he wanted to appoint more justices like Clarence Thomas.
It is difficult for any decent person to sit back and not comment on the anti-Semitism,racism ,sexism ,and all-around ignorance espoused on the majority of DA's posts,it's fucking sad when one gets a warning for simply being a decent person.

Please don't confuse optimus with conservatives such as J. Edgar Hoover or David Duke.

I have nothing against normal openly gay people. I have nothing against Frank and agree on most issues with him.

It's the weird, bipolar, secretly gay creepy maniacs that freak me out...like a "homophobic" Christian preacher or a "tough guy" leader of FBI who end up wearing skirts after getting home from work and and do some really sick disgusting stuff, while being hypocritical about their lifestyle...not normal gay people.

Please don't confuse who the majority of the homo's in politics are and what thier agenda is:

The first openly LGBT person in political office was Nancy Wechsler
    > She was elected to the Ann Arbor City Council in 1972 as a member of the Human Rights Party and came out as a lesbian during her first and only term there.
The first person to win an election as openly LGBT was Kathy Kozachenko.
    > In January 1974, she won a seat as an open lesbian on the Ann Arbor City Council as member of the Human Rights Party.

Harvey Milk was the fifth person elected to public office in the US as openly LGBT.
    > He was elected in 1977 as a member of the Board of Supervisors in San Francisco.
    > Four others were elected before him as openly LGBT:

Kathy Kozachenko (Ann Arbor City Council, January 1974)
Elaine Noble (Massachusetts House of Representatives, November 1974)
Allan Spear (Minnesota State Senate, Nov 1976) (He came out during his first term and was reelected.)
Jim Yeadon (Madison, WI City Council, April 1977)
The first openly gay Democratic member of the US House of Representatives was Gerry Studds (D-MA).
    > He served from 1973 to 1997; he was in the closet when first elected.
    > He acknowledged that he was gay in 1983 when he was censured by the House for having an consensual affair with a male page of legal age. He continued to win elections until he decided to retire.

The first openly gay Republican member of the US House of Representatives was Steve Gunderson (R-WI).
    > He served from 1980 to 1997; he was in the closet when first elected.
    > He was outed by another Republican because Gunderson was the only Republican in Congress to vote against the Defense of Marriage Act that President Bill Clinton signed into law

The first openly lesbian woman elected to the US Congress was Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) in 1998.
    > She continues to proudly represent Wisconsin's 2nd district.
The first openly gay man elected to the US Congress was Jared Polis (D-CO) in 2008.
    > He continues to proudly represent Colorado's 2nd district.

    NOT ENOUGH REPRESENTATION

Any minority needs a critical mass of representatives.

Only three members US House of Representatives are openly gay men: David Cicilline (D-RI), Barney Frank (D-MA) and Jared Polis (D-CO)

Only one member of the US House of Representatives is openly lesbian: Tammy Baldwin (D-WI)

No members of the US House of Representatives are openly bisexual or transgender

No members of the US Senate are openly LGBT, although several are believed to be in the closet and vote against pro-equality legislation

20 states do not have an openly LGBT member of the State Legislature

David Cicilline (D-RI) for election to the US House of Representatives -elected Nov. 2010

Scott Galvin (D-FL) for election to the US House of Representatives - did not win
Ed Potosnak (D-NJ) for election to the US House of Representatives - did not win
Steve Pougnet (D-CA) for election to the US House of Representatives - did not win
Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) for re-election for the US House of Representatives- reelected Nov 2010

Barney Frank (D-MA) for re-election for the US House of Representatives- reelected Nov 2010
Jared Polis (D-CO) for re-election for the US House of Representatives- reelected Nov 2010
