Also could you tell me what you class as ultra hetrosexual masculine music?

Do you actually have something against for instance detroit techno, dave clarke , jeff mills and the like or was that just really shit bait? Dick!

each to their own when it comes to music.

a friend once described my music taste as "anything 'cept pop". however, my collection would disagree with that. i do have pop - shakira, adele, marina & the diamonds, florence & the machine, la roux and eliza doolittle.

my own personal favourite acts are michael franti, belle & sebastian, tilly & the wall, beta band (and their affiliated acts), british sea power, the canadians who settled in berlin (chilly gonzales, feist, and mocky), roots manuva, she & him and the real tuesday weld

So good. Most Bartók leaves me cold (especially the early stuff), but when he's right, he's right!

I'm not a devotee of any particular genre, but I continually find myself drawn to:
    • 20th century tonal "classical" music (early Stravinsky, late Bartók, Prokofiev, etc.)
    • 1970s hard rock
    • 1980s punk
    • 1990s indie/experimental

I try not to hate any genre, but I do find myself strongly disliking the following:
    • nu-country
    • Christian rock
    • general pop

    Speaking as an old geezer:

I'm into virtually all forms of jazz, rock, blues,R+B,pop, folk(and some classcial) from circa 1920 to 1989.

After '89, I stopped being encylopeidic.

At my age, new music isn't going to to change my life like it did when I was younger, but there's still some good new music out there in the forms I'm into, mostly jazz(both fusion and traditional),blues ,country( mostly alt-country and Americana ,though some modern commercial country artists like Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum are very good).

Amongst the newer rock artists I like : Bruno Mars,He and She,The Black Keys,My Morning Jacket.

The greatest of them all was Amy Winehouse, which makes her death even more tragic, not only for the loss of any human being at too young an age,but for the loss of such an exceptionally gifted human being at too young an age.

Oh yeah,Arrest My Sister are pretty good too.
It is difficult for any decent person to sit back and not comment on the anti-Semitism,racism ,sexism ,and all-around ignorance espoused on the majority of DA's posts,it's fucking sad when one gets a warning for simply being a decent person.

Same here. I often joke that the "newest" bands that I really like are Nirvana and Sublime...which is only a semi-joke, because I do love The White Stripes, Joe Bonamassa, Amy Winehouse, Jet and some others to be honest, but that's still exceptions.

Same here. We've opened for Lady Antebellum a few months ago, I never was a huge fan, but they are decent musicians and very nice people.

I agree, not to mention Jack White and Jet.

    Very true.

Well, that's really good to know!! If you ever have the time for a review of their album, I'd sure love to read about that.

Keith Urban is not country. Other than that I pretty much agree.

Do you guys sell your cd to stores outside your region?

Also,do you plan to press a limited editon vinyl?

Some people(like myself) still prefer vinyl to cd(though I do have cd's as well).

I'd love to review the album, but my (as of now) limited online time doesn't make that likely.

I've just got too much going on in my life,a radio station (50s to 70s format) has asked me to dj,but I declined because I would just be speading myself too thin if I added that to my plate.

I've spread myself too thin before ,I don't want to ever do that again.

It took me a while to get into both Nirvana and (especailly) White Stripes, but I eventually made it.

I agree, not to mention Jack White and Jet.
Where White Stripes won my resepct was when they covered Captian Beefhart ,Beefheart's music is not easy to play,it takes real talent to cover him and they did it.
