Actually I see a lot of potential members banned for spam after one or two legit posts. I don't think its fair to ban anyone for spam without a fair warning first. Maybe a reminder of the TOS would benefit instead of a out and out ban without an apparent warning.
I don't see anyone scaring anyone off. Maybe a few members do let the unsuspecting newbie know that this is an adult site and not for the faint of heart. I see nothing wrong with that. But maybe a little skin adjustment is needed by some of out current posters.
That is just my point of view however, for what it is worth.

I believe it is incumbent upon any potential new member to lurk for a while to get the flavor of a forum before joining. I would be foolish, for example, to join an Obama love fest board then be shocked when the whiny members got upset at what I posted. IMHO, to join then complain just doesn't seem right.
