Thanks, yo. Three days later and my legs are finally feeling almost normal again. I'm already looking forward to my next marathon (race TBD).

I have a 10K in four weeks (6.2 miles). I need to train for that now, which means speed work. I'm gunning for 48 minutes. The only other 10K race I've run was 54 minutes and that was in June. I am faster now and my training runs are clocking in around 50 minutes.

F&L, you'll be happy to know that I downed an entire medium bbq chicken and bacon pizza after the marathon.

Upon seeing the pizza, my wife asked "Could you have possibly ordered something less healthy?" LOL Then she was grossed out when I proceeded to eat the entire pizza. Hey, I offered her a slice.

I felt like complete shit after crossing the finish line and had to sit under a tree for 30 minutes. But, it was a solid 100% effort. Finished pretty much right smack in the middle of all 2300 finishers. Good job, self. I think with a couple of solid years of running under my belt and more training (rather that just starting out six months ago), I could shave an entire hour off that time.
You crazy ass bastard. Congrats and wow on your numbers! My knees ache for your knees.

Thanks! My knees are fine. My hips and lower abs are another story (both results of being relatively new to running).

By the way I just lugged 50lbs of groceries up to my 7th floor apt. 'cause the elevator is being serviced. Thought I was gonna have a fucking heart attack!

I guess it's back to the gym this winter.
