Hmm. Actually I don't know why Mexico has one the highest obesity rates in the world. I wasn't even aware of that. If true, it's probably because of all the wealthy, elite modern-day Mexicans who can afford to live large. The general population of Mexicans are thin, lean and wiry. But of course as you have probably observed, some Mexicans that come to the United States, quickly get fat.

When I lived in Mexico, people would say they wanted to live in "America" where everyone is fat. I suppose there's nothing wrong with be fat -- if you can afford it.

And poster fat mike commented that I'm not like any Mexican he has ever known. That's probably because I'm from Spain and grew up in Mexico. I was educated in both Mexico and Texas, speaking English and Spanish simultaneously.

After completing a degree from the University of Monterrey (Mexico's largest industrial city), I served as an officer (lieutenant) in the Army of Mexico for about a year. I illegally "migrated" to the United States and started an import-export business. I became a naturalized United States citizen many, many years ago. I served in the United States Army (infantry), including two tours in Vietnam at the height of the conflict.

So for the information and enlightenment of all, I consider myself to be a loyal and productive citizen of the United States of America. And I'm not fat.

It's astonishing that a lot of you hard-core, bubba gringos simply do not and can never accept the fact that not all Hispanics are evil and hostile.

My import/export business is only moderately successful, but I'm staying afloat. I specialize in hard-to-find mechanical parts mostly for water-pumping wells and equipment in the American southwest; also I locate outdated and hard to find parts for Jack-pumps (those thingies that see-saw up and down at independent oil wells after the derrick has been removed).

I have served our nation's faithfully.

I like the United States because it is indeed a land of opportunity if you have the cojones to take a financial risk.

I like gringos -- Hispanics and gringos work in harmony with each other. The only thing I don't like about you Anglos is that in accordance with your do-gooder, Anglo-Saxon decency, you invited and let millions of immigrants from all over the world come to your country. They took advantage of you, and I lose my respect for you. Your intentions were noble -- but you should have known better. God gave America's founders a great land with unlimited natural resources. You helped fight tyranny all over the globe. But you gave your country away to those not so honorable and noble.

And you better be glad that Hispanics and not blacks are taking over your country. If blacks took over they would take revenge, punish you and make you into their slaves.

Hispanics and Anglos will work, and cooperate in harmony.
