Mike the Church I attend which is fairly affluent comtribute heavil to at least two homeless shelters, and most years contributes to the building of a habitat house as well. Lutheran Social Services also is heavily involved in helping the indigent.
Trouble is you cannot help those who will not help themselves. I've seen people tryng to seel the food they just got from one of the many church run food pantries turn around and try to sell the groceries they just got for money to buy booze or drugs.
If you are going without food in this country in any of the larger cities it is largely because you choose to do so.
Annoy a leftist: Think logically.
i know a lot of Christians who want to be more inthe forefront of the problem-im not dissing the whole chirch really-but theres a lot of hate-i dont think its all that simple-a lot of young people dont know how to use the system and a lot of people black and white let their pride keep them from asking for the kind of help they need-if the politicians saw more people trying to ojt theyd push it/
the thign is sad really
and kids have to rely on grownups
