I appreciate what others do for me and am not shy about expressing it. That's the sort of fellow I am and the type of relationship we have. I understand both the labor and the heart she puts into feeding us that wide variety of nutritious meals. And she does it because that's the sort of person she is and that's one way she expresses her appreciation for everything I do, and am.
My wife has never had to open a door for herself when we're together - car, truck, house, any door - for almost 30 years now. That's my job, as I learned from my grandfather. Being a gentleman seemed like the right thing when I was a young man and nothing since then has caused me to change my mind on that.
