Grilled myself a steak last night and made tilapia for the wife. Served with corn on the cob and rice pilaf.

Tonight will be turkey burgers...homemade ones, none of that frozen patty shit. I'm not sure what I'll put in them. Whatever I find in the fridge, I suppose (banana peppers, some kind of cheese, some bbq sauce)

Speaking of BBQ sauce, it's almost entirely replaced ketchup at my house. I don't know why, but the kids use it on everything that they used to dump ketchup on. It's a mini fad. I didn't even know it was happening either, until I couldn't find the two bottles of sauce I'd bought for the weekly chicken BBQ, and started asking around.

Now we keep a couple of cheap bottles of sauce in the fridge, just for the kids.

Made a nice vegetable curry the other night. Easier than I thought it would be.

Made a turkey burger. Mushed in some pineapple salsa, and lots of spices, garlic, onions. Put a little olive oil mayo and a slice of avocado on rye bread, and topped the burger with a few feta cheese crumbles.

    Blackened Garlic Spicy Brats

    Oh My F G!

I chose Johnsonville Spicy Hot 'Brats'

Hot skillet, cooking oil to coat, be liberal. Add a splash of Olive Oil. Add 1 Tbsp per brat minced garlic. Keep on high until garlic turns a nice dark brown. Reduce heat, add brats. Slice through the skin as the dogs cook, and roll them back and forth through the still sizzling garlic-oil mix in the pan.

When nearly done, split buns, and toast, face down in the same pan. Move them around to absorb the oil. Flip buns over for about thirty seconds, then remove, and smear a generous amount of mayo on the 'dog' side of the buns.

Layer some sliced red onion on top of the buns. Be generous! top with cooked brat, more onion, sweet relish, and spicy brown mustard.

    Total prep/cooking time: Ten minutes.
    Calories: Lots
Sodium, and other bad things: Fatal
    Taste: Your tongue will cum

I might have a take away tonight, thinking crispy duck pancakes for starter and stir fried mushrooms in oyster sauce and king prawns with ginger & spring onions for main course.

That sounds perfect because when I make my turkey burgers I mush avacado and feta right into the burger! Great minds think alike

Tonight it was tomato bisque but tomorrow night is what I'm excited for; I'm making what I call my "Cattleman Stromboli" and it's a homemade stromboli filled with shredded pork or chicken (tomorrow night I'm using chicken), the perfect BBQ sauce, caramelized onions and provolone and mozzerella cheese. Totally drool-worthy.

Sometimes I stick bacon in it too

Last night I made garlic chicken in the oven. A little heated olive oil and garlic, drop some boneless chicken into the oil, cover chicken with breadcrumb and parmesan mixture, cook. Good stuff. Problem is, I forgot the garlic last night. So really it was breadcrumb chicken.

    Friggin moron.

I will no longer be making my cattleman stromboli because I get to go camping tonight, yay!

So instead of cattleman stromboli it will be cattleman sandwiches. I shredded up my chicken, caramelized my onions and cooked some bacon and it's all simmering on low right now with a mixture of molasses BBQ and vinegar BBQ sauce. I'm going to put it on a round roll, top it with a slice of smoked gouda cheese and wrap each sandwich individually in heavy foil so it can be thrown on the coals to heat up and eat tonight around the campfire! I also made a quick fruit salad of watermelon, strawberries, pineapple and green grapes and for munchies I bought Dill chips, pretzel crisps, almonds and bagel chips with cheddar horseradish pub cheese to dip in.

The only cool thing about the eagles is that backup QB whose name is Kafka that you told me about.

Tonight it's shrimp and a bit of crab w/Old Bay and steamed broccoli.

After a year of trying Hubby finally took me to the Texas Road House.

It was my choice today and after he black balled my first five places
(Japanese,Thai,Mexican, seafood,Olive Garden) I wanted to go to I finally got a thumbs up.

Never been to a place with peanut shells on the floor and dead animals on the wall. At least the Buck was wearing a Yankee hat.

Service was good, food was good, I had chicken and shrimp (I don't eat steak).
    Had a good time!
