Anyone notice the majority of leftists are over near the kookism side while the right is more towards the center? Interesting. I always did figure a lot of the leftists that frequent these boards were over on the fringe.
Now watch and see what happens. I bet (1) they have a contest to see who is more kooky. Or they will (2) fake it and aim for the middle.
It's also interesting how "the right wingers" are consistantly closer to the center then the left. From the looks of things, the left is the most extreme on this board....not surprising
Also: I'm not sure how someone can be further to the economic left and consider himself more of a Libertarian then anyone on the economic right....does that mean your are all for freedom as long as someone else pays for it???

TH, I've had a theory for sometime now that the leftists on these types of boards are more towards the lunatic fringe. So I'll say, spot on. Good call.
I don't recall Forthright, Damn Yankee or TrailHiker claiming to be "libertarian".
I'm one of those "self declared libertarians", and so far only 2 people scored more "libertarian" than I did.
I think it's time for TLG, Java, and Crim to switch parties.
While we're at it, IFF can be the founder of the Irish Libertarian Party.
While I'm at it,
Judging from the charts, those who scored more libertarian don't seem to be aligning so much with the right either.
I see a lot more dots in the green than the purple.

Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional illogical minority and promoted by a mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

The President is a phrase-maker par excellence. He admires trite sayings and revels in formulating them. But when he comes to their practical application he is so vague that their worth may well be doubted. He apparently never thought out in advance where they would lead or how they would be interpreted by others. . . . The gift of clever phrasing may be a curse unless the phrases are put to the test of sound, practical application before being uttered.-the Secretary of State

I was sl right of forthright. Stupid, biased poll! Reminded me of the old question, "do you still beat your wife?" Very biased to the lefty's benefit as many of the questions did not have a realistic answer.
Wow. Way more liberal than previous times I've taken it. I think the economic collapse has changed my view on free markets to a considerable extent.

It looks like a lot of the people here have shifted since the last time we took it. The rightwingers were all up in the right/authoritarian quadrant last time, and the eeeevulllleftistlibarals were more to the right. I think the whole country has probably shifted libertarian/liberal as a result of 8 glorious years of Republican leadership.
Hope it keeps.
