We enjoyed the nice weather last evening on the deck with our delicious german kolsch.
I had some beers last night. Some really disappointing beers. I'm no beer snob and I'll drink pretty much whatever when it comes down to it but I do assign a lot of value to an excellent beer. Last night I was at some hole-in-the-wall dive bar that had a variety of about 5 beers, I had Amstel Light (until they ran out after 2 beers) and it was Miller Light the rest of the night. Wish I could have gotten something that tasted like something.

I'm drinking Smuttynose Big A Double IPA right now....waiting for wife to come home with our Chinese food. It's wife's birthday today. HOORAY wife!! I sent her flowers at work, got her two magazine subscriptions that she wanted (Velonews and Womens Health), and bought her a necklace with bicycle charm and a set of bike lights for night time mountain biking/racing. <3

We went to Bullfrog Brewery last night. I had two of their IPAs, both overdone with Chinook. Alyssa had the Belgian Mild Ale, which was quite tasty.

Last night, I came home to a new beer on tap at our place. While I was away, Dave updated his facebook status that he kicked the Kolsch tap and was putting a new beer on. When I called him right after that post, he answered the phone: "don't be mad."
The new tap is our Munich Helles lager. One of only two batches from the lagering season. It's so good and will not last long.
