That Nugget Nectar is hard to find around here. Troegs doesn't distribute in CT, so I need to hit up the MA beer store during work hours. Plus, Nugget Nectar only comes out once a year in limited quantities. When I see it on the shelf, I practically lunge at it. "MINE!"
Farmhouse Ale - aka Saison?![]()
I typically refer to the style as "farmhouse ale." I don't know why...probably because the average beer drinker would at least recognize it as a beer with the word "ale" used, and would have no idea wtf I was talking about if I said "saison."
One of my favorite styles.
1) Double IPA
2) Tripel
3) Farmhouse ale
4) Barleywine
5) Stout
btw, right now: Berkshire Brewing Company Lost Sailor IPA

I am tequilaing tonight. Is that allowed?

This afternoon's beer store haul:
Sixer of Lagunita Maximus
22oz bottle of Smuttynose Barleywine (never had this one)
750ml bottle of Sierra Nevada Sierra 30 Stout (new!)
Can't say I've had any of those. Please review and report back.
I'm heading over to have drinks after work with a fellow "Sweet Lady Beer." We're hoping that the restaurant still has the new Delaware brewery on tap. (So new I don't even know the name!) Will have results to follow.![]()
have you tried Kona Longbeach on tap? *drool*
