The same is probably true for the beers near you as well. We have the worst distribution here in DE, which is why I cross over to MD or PA to buy beer when I actually go out for it. That's one of the reasons we make so much of our own, also it's cheaper and more fun.

So many barleywines have a name that starts with the word "Old."

    Old Horizontal
    Old Ruffian
    Old Crustacean
    Olde Gnarleywine
    Old Guardian
    etc

I am naming the barleywine that I recently brewed "Old Gimpy" in honor of my recent knee issues.

    Don't let me drunk text.

    Unless it's to you.

We're gonna have so much fun! Poor David, though.

Due to home renovations, we are behind on homebrewing. I bought a case of Heinekin as a stop gap.

First of all, there's nothing wrong with Heinekin. It's a well-balanced, nicely hopped lager. It has no corn or rice in it and happens to do pretty well in competitions. Are you turning your nose up because it is so widely distributed? Heinekin is my go-to beer when I'm out and nothing good is on tap. I'll never understand where you guys get off telling me about beer. Frankly, it is a little insulting.
