i propose autophilia. its only logical. pedophilia, necrophilia, homophilia...

What is "homophilia", and how does lumping masturbation in with necrophilia and pedophilia lessen the "stigma" attched to it? (does anyone still stigmatize masturbation?)

And my final question: why are threads on the politics and machinations of masturbation allowed to be posted in Big Debates? I come here to get away from this idiocy.

autophilia pretty much already means 'self love', 'love of ones self' or 'narcissism' so masturbation isn't much of a stretch.

because changing a word i a big deal.

people spend time pordering about how to call blacks who are not african americans (caribeans and africans), but dont care about changing the word masturbation into a more scientific, rational, more formal word.

so pedophilia is loving younger kids. by ur logic, all the philia words imply it in a sexual context.

It's not "my logic" it's the freakin' dictionary :rolleyes: and if you look really closely you will see that I pointed out the fact that autophilia already has a, non sexual, meaning.

but anyway, I don't think sufferers of hemophilia find anything remotely sexual about their condition.

relax. im not seeking a flame war here. im just poiting to others words that are seual but have the word philia in them. necrophilia, homophilia, pedophilia, pornophilia (althrought this word is phased out a long time ago).
