Everyone talks about what they got, but I'm wondering what gifts you gave this year. Some of the better gifts the wife and I gave out:

a digital camera and printer (for my mom)
TiVo with three years of paid service (mom in law)
Daisuke Matsuzaka Red Sox jersey (brother in law)
a huge set of Legos (my brother)

Next year the wife and I want to take my niece and nephew (12 and 17 years old) on a Disney vacation. I've got to talk to my brother and his wife about that though. I don't know how they will take that, with us spending the money and leaving his two toddlers behind.

I gave lots of stuff to family members and friends. It's alot to list and I can't really pick out the "better" gifts given. :(

We donated to several charities instead of buying gifts for most people. We ask our family members to donate in our name instead of getting us gifts as well.
We did get stuff for the kids, and names of a few family members drawn for us, that we had to buy for.

I got my mom a book of photos from around her birthplace

I got my nephew lego and spiderman socks

I got my man a wok, and a few kitchen gadgets

I am trying to find a Wii for my son...got him a swiss army knife and a few things for his computer

I got my daughter some kitchen stuff for hope chest, I also got her some paints & canvases

I gave the girls I work with some baking I did myself.

I got my dad a freakin' neat bottle opener, my sister a scarf, my mom a necklace. I gave my bf's sister an invitation to an "atelier'' of wine tasting (bf also paid for that). I bought his parents a set of champaign glasses from Maisons du Monde. I bought my bf a 8 Go USB key and a Dior Homme Dermo System lotion.

I gave out a lot of gift certificates, books and journals. They ship well.

I bought my best friend and her hubby a bunch of Sailor Jerry swag.
Rum glasses, a flask, they each got a t-shirt, and of course, rum.

I got my neighbor a chinese dragon and symbol painting, glasses with dragons on them, and a bamboo plant.

I gave someone the Crazy Cat Lady action figure. I loved that gift, and so did the recipient.

Sole gift to be given this year was a hookah, although it hasn't arrived yet, I think.

I bought it on line at Worldvision.ca in my mothers name. She's notoriously hard to shop for at Christmas.

Donating is good, we gave to 5 local charities. It sure as heck beats buying 'stuff' people neither need or want, just for the sake of giving a gift.
