My all time favorite ornament on our tree also happens to be the least attractive. It's a square block of wood with a hook on one end and painted letters "Merry Christmas" in green and red. On the bottom of it my son signed his first and last name in black marker. Everytime I look at it I wonder why on earth would the boy have signed his first AND last name on an ornament he made to give only to his parents. LOL. It's my alltime favorite and I keep it on the backside of the tree most of the time.
Got one?

I have a few favorites, my friend Kristen and I would trade ornaments every year right up until we graduated high school, some of those are really nice,
my other favorite is one given to my parents by friends of the family when I had my first Christmas..it's as old as I am:p
Another special one is one my uncle made before he passed away, it has more sentimental value..
I think my most favorite is one my parents picked up in Bermuda when I was a kid, it's a small crystal /glass nativity scene....:)

My favorite ornament is the clay gingerbread man that Christan made for me when she was 10. (It was the second Christmas that her dad and I were together and the first that she spent at our house.) That's when I knew she had truly accepted me. I hang it high on the tree so the kitties can't steal and destroy it.

I haven't had any ornaments since I was a kid, but thinking about them makes me go all dreamy. They really are a direct connection to the sense of wonder of my childhood. Is it that way for anyone else?
I remember there were angels that I was very partial to. I looked at them as if they were living beings, I guess in the way most kids look at toys made in the likeness of creatures.

Me, my g/f, and her daughter all moved in together this year, and we're sharing our first Christmas together - I got a commemorative ornament to signify the event, and I think it's pretty snazzy:

My colored cube is the one I like the most. It's on the tree and made it in grade five.

I previously got rid of all my Holiday decorations...but, my fiancee and I have picked up a three ornaments from special trips we made...so we are slowly growing a meaningful collection. (although we are not decorating this year again- the ornaments are on my night stand....afraid if I hung them the cats would attack them :( )

I have a Spongebob ornament I bought in memory of someone who loved the shows. It's tacky & plastic & it goes right in the center of the tree.

it used to be an ornament from 2001 that me and my ex bought that says "fist Christmas together 2001" or something to that effect. Yeah... so that one's sitting in a garbage dump somewhere in California now. :nonono:
Today, it's the "baby's first christmas 2003"

I don't have a pic, but I have an Oreo Cookie ornament that my grandparents gave me when I was like 2 or 3. It's an oreo. That's also a christmas ornament.
Pretty cool, huh?
Every year, my family can decorate to their hearts' content, but I and I alone get to hang the Oreo.
