You only get them once a year! Which ones do you drool over?
I hated them as a kid, but it wouldn't be Christmas without the standard gingerbread men. I prefer them fresh and a little chewy. :drool:
Second - shortbread... homemade - no substitutes! :shakefist

Cranberry, Blueberry and White chocolate...oh so yummy. Now I will have to buy the stuff to make them. :D

It's a big tradition in my family that my Mom makes about a dozen different types of cookies and gives them out as gifts. They are to DIE FOR!
Some of them are - Thumbprints, Snickerdoodles, Frosted Shortbread, Mint Brownies, Pecan Tassies, Anise, Fruit and Nut bars - and more!!!
My husband and I will be taking over the tradition some day :)

I don't know what she puts in them, but they really stand out. My wife bakes like a banshee this time of year. She goes to cookie exchange parties and brings home plates of it. They're art.
