Wednesday, after work, at 6:30, Ira and I began our journey up to SF. We were staying at the Sheraton SFO Gateway and would be making that our basecamp. The drive up was pretty good actually, the longest single part was getting onto the freeway from Hollywood. The drive took the typical and requisite amount of time, we got into the hotel late and PASSED out.

Thursday we woke up at a decent hour, headed over to Jackie's place and then went with her and Jason to get something to eat. We went to this decent burrito spot and then we went to Jackie's and hugn out a bit. We ended up going down to the beach (the weather was gorgeous and ridiculously beautiful)*

We walked around hoping to get a glipse of some sea otters or something but we ended up finding this busted out foundation down on the beach and some caves and other things. We ended up walking around and exploring for like 2 hours, it was a lot of fun. After that excursion we went to explore what a tent city that was coming up would be. It was some festival getting setup for.

We drove through golden gate park and then headed up to Marin to a candy store, stopped by a vista point to check out the golden gate bridge and then went back to Jackies. We must up with Jason and then went to have dinner with their cousin and Aunt. We ended up just staying in, hanging at Jackie's and watching TV. I was able to watch Top Chef and see Betty's premiere. It was awesome.

Friday was another brunch, it was also Jackie's birthday. We met up with her, Sarah, and Mike Evans and went to "All You Kneed" on Haight st. and ended up walking around most of the morning/early afternoon. The day ended up getting a lot of wasted, we didn't do much, just kind of sat around and waited, argued about plans. Peolpe were too concerned about making everyone happy than just doing something. Ultimately we made some plans, changed the plans, but still had fun. We were going to get dinner at 'the best Indian food in the city' (I beg to differ), pickup Corey at the airport, and then go to a hookah bar. We went to Shimylan, but I found it to be pretty mediocre. Cody met up with us, we picked up some booze, had it with dinner, then went to his place. We had some more drinks and then we went to the BART to meet up with Corey. Delays, stations, boring things, but we were drunk at the BART station, it was great. Corey got into town and then we met up with Cody and Pat and went out drinking.

We pregamed a bit at Cody's and then hit up two bars, one was a total dive bar with a 65 yearold drunk bartender who had a surly personality and a crass sense of humor and the other was a crowded whiskey bar called Whiskey Thieves. At the dive bar, not only did the bartender close up early but he also yelled at Ira when he broke a glass (yes, this was his second in a week). Ira apologized, saying, sorry, don't worry man. The bartender responds with "I'm not your man." (man?) We got really drunk, took a taxi to Jackie's and then drove back to the hotel.

Saturday was Festeroo 1.5, The Bridge School Benefit show. Carolyn met us for brunch and then we picked up Mike, went to whole foods to buy a bunch of food and then we went to the venue of the show. Bridge School is an annual event put on by Neil Young to raise money for a school for handicap children. The lineup was amazing. Trent Reznor, Foo Fighters, Death cab, Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Dave, and more. It went from 4 to 1AM. Trent Reznor stole the show with his vocals over a group of strings.

Sunday, we took off. We went to Stacks for Brunch (the best ever) and then set on our way. We missed the 5, took the 101, and it took a while. The highlight of the ride home was the 80mph front to back seat switch.

I got back to LA, unpacked, relaxed, and then got the call. Yo Mama Cast party. We went to L Scorpian, I got my drink on, heavily, went to Boardners, then to Avidan's, then home...I got home at 3AM, passed out, and went to work the next day.
