View Full Version : A Hen's Night
Rayney 10-15-2006, 10:40 AM Went on a Hen's Night last night - really good fun, the girls were great! It was strange going to a Hen's Nihgt full of good, clean fun - but it was a laugh.
Good dancing, great folk and LOTS O' BOOZE.
Cant believe I have just over a year and it will be mine! :eek3:

twinkles 10-15-2006, 01:21 PM What's a Hen's Night, Rayney?
No_Brakes 10-15-2006, 01:38 PM Sounds to me like that's what they call a Bachelorette Party.
I've heard the term "Hen Party" used before as another name for "Ladies' Night Out".
Bear Stories 10-15-2006, 01:44 PM Yeah, that's basically what it is. (Those darn Awwwwwwwstrayyyylians and their funky terminology! :D )
twinkles 10-15-2006, 02:07 PM Hen's Night for a Bachelorette party? I may sound pretentious, but it's such a deaming name for it...
flaming_liberal 10-15-2006, 02:13 PM You think a "Hen's Night" sounds demeaning?
Try the opposite for a Bachelor Party.
"Cock Night." Well, I guess it's slightly more accurate, but still, I don't think that it's that much better a name.
Bear Stories 10-15-2006, 02:23 PM Hen's Night for a Bachelorette party? I may sound pretentious, but it's such a deaming name for it...
It's not meant to be demeaning. In Brit speak, (and by trickle down, Australian speak), "hen" is a term of endearment.
twinkles 10-15-2006, 03:03 PM It's somewhat endearing in French too, "poulette", but in Romanian it is ... well, how should I put it, not flattering at all, lol!
Bachlorette's Night out shoukd be fun, though...
Misteria 10-15-2006, 03:06 PM "Despedida de soltera " is the spanish translation...
sounds great fun rayney! :nice:
Rayney 10-15-2006, 06:57 PM Mens is a "Bucks".
Manfred, what are you talking about?
twinkles 10-15-2006, 08:21 PM That is a very interesting question. I keep asking myself that ;)...

Manfred, what are you talking about?
I'm not even sure he knows what he's talking about. This might be one of those times when it's just better not to know, yeah?:D
Rayney 10-16-2006, 07:54 AM Hahaha! I need to stop letting people take my photo when Ive been drinking.
