What has been going on? A lot and a little it would seem. I've been working my ass off, but whats new with that right? I've been baby sitting Anshul a lot and spending a lot of time with family. Thats always great but I just never can seem to find that good balance between friends, family, work, and myself.
Works been just shitty lately. I mean, I just always seem to get the shit end of work in the group. I don't know if its because everyone else is working on 'more important' stuff or if it is because I am that dependable, or because I just want to see things get done right, so I get things done, but thats how its been. I end up picking up everything and then really having limited input on our overall direction. That will need to change for me to continue to be happy.
Family has been great. My nephew continues to be adorable and amaze me. I love him to death, I love helping him learn, playing with him, and just being around him. He's a good reminder of the bigger picture. He's also a reminder that you can exist at a time and not be jaded or cynical. That there are things as unconditional love. I mean, children are such an amazing source for learning for us. Looking at how they care for people, how they love, how their emotions are so strong.
Friends are always great. Its one of those things I am truly gifted with, lots of loving friends. Lots of good times. Lots of memories.
Myself, I am pretty happy with me I guess. I enjoy walking to work every day. I am enjoying the person I see myself becoming. I need to work on my health a bit more, but otherwise, I am really happy with me.
So, what has been going on? What have I been doing? Lots of shows. I've seen so much live music in the past 6 months its a little sick. Seriously. From small to big from dance to electronica to rock to punk to jazz...just all over. I've been averaging one every other week probably. Good times.
Otherwise, I've been spending lots of time with teh above, work, friends, and family...and just...going on.
