This picture was taken at a project for the non profit organization that I volunteer for, India Friends Association. IFA supports education, vocational training, political reform, women's rights, criminal reform, and a slew of other activities in under privaledged areas of India.
I just love seeing this picture. There is so much symbolism in addition to the idea of these poor children in rural villages learning. The trees they are sitting under are Banyan trees, the Tree that in Mythology Buddha sat under as he meditated to reach enlightenment.
I am able to look at this picture and feel inspired about the work that I am doing for IFA as well as really appreciate what I have and where I grew up. I just wanted to share with everyone.
