It's a MARVEL COMICS character that I'VE been DYING to see made into a film for DECADES, now!:nice:

The Marvel Studios film is due to begin shooting in February.

And take a GANDER at WHO...shall be in the famed LEAD ROLE! (Link Courtesy The BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION) (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/5393500.stm):eek3:

I'LL be FIRST in the queue at MY local neighbourhood cinema and WILL be FRONT ROW CENTRE for THIS!!!!:D

he is such an incredible actor! I really was impressed by his portrayal of an addict in "Less Than Zero". :nice:

LOL, I guess we'll see :D

Personally, "shell head" has always been one of my favorite comic characters. It was a bit annoying that the writers would just magically add a new system to the armor any time they put him in a situation that was too tough. (same with Hawkeye & suddenly having a new trick arrow :| ). His character has always had alot of depth though. Marvel is generally good atmaking their characters more 3 dimensional, but Tony is one of the ones they've fleshed out the best I think.

Edit: I hope they get the "war machine" armor into the movie too. Whether it be on Tony or on Rhodey, I don't care. That armor has always been slick :D

My first response is Robert Downey Junior???:eek7: But then I'm thinking, well, he may not be very macho, but he would be well-suited for portraying Tony Startk's struggle with addiction, (but then, will he be able to exude the brilliance of such a prodigal engineer?) I do hope they play this one smart. Good acting doesn't mean much when saddled with a steaming turd of a script. I'm still hesitant here; Tony Stark should have blue eyes & a mind that's keen like a razor's edge. I'm just not sure RD-Jr can pull it off. Does the casting crew actually read the comics?

Being a machinist, the idea of Iron Man gets me going too. I'd like to see this one 'fly' but I'm having my doubts...:hmm:

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

We all said the same thing back in the day about Micheal Keaton playing Batman. I think he ended up being the best in the series honestly.

Yeah, best of a striong of bad batmans, maybe. Christian Bale is a much better batman, imho.

As for Iron Man, I think I should dye my hair black & take on the role. I've got both the engineering & the drinking down pat!;) And hell, I spend so much time daydreaming about making crazy bits of armor & weaponry, it'd be a snap to pull off the job.:nice:

LOL, send em a video clip, maybe you can steal the role, at least for a sequel :D

And yeah, the new batman is better, but Keaton did a decent job. :)
