Whats worse than missing an etta James show so you can go into the office and setup computers on a sunday night? Coming home from such a lovely use of a weekend and having your condo's parking garage gate close on your car causing a good amount of damage. It scratched up my rear fender pretty good and knocked my side scoop clear off...now time to fight the condo association to make them pay for it.

Time for scotch and bed.

Man, that sux! But, I know all about those off hours installations, they suck don't they.

If it makes you feel any better, I have a B-6 Armored Excursion sitting outside that I have to completely redo the Communications suite on because it got hit with a VBIED. *S* I don't think these damn insurgents realize just how much some of these antenna's cost! *Grin*

Now I don't know much about the military, but just for clarification, would a B-6 Armored Excursion be a Ford Excursion with a B-6 level of armor?

Exactly. Civilian Excursion that is up armored. B-6 protects up to and including multiple hits from 7.62x39 ammo. (AK, RPK rounds)

Sweet, I remembered something. Why do they use Excursions and stuff? I thought that's why the Humvee was invented?

We're a civilian company, so cost is a major concern. Also, depending on the mission, we might use regular F-350 trucks with gun turrent's in the back. Other missions might have us using a low-profile BMW or Mercedes. It all come's down to mission and cost.

Oh, okay. Hey, if you can hook me up with a pimped out beamer or Mercedes military style, let me know.

Take photos of your car, if you haven't already. Evidence is your friend.

If given the opportunity, I always assume the worst in humanity.

And I'm almost always right.

sorry to read that, manu. :( and yeah, take pictures, etc, they may try to say the scratches and dents were already there and if time passes without pics you may not be able to prove otherwise.

There's a lot to be cynical about nowadays but that's not the point-a lot of companiies pay up just to avoid court costs and hassle-

Took pictures, going to get an estimate in 10 minutes. I think they will pay up, its the condo association where I live. Talking to the head of my legal department and our residential leasing (it is good working for a commercial/residential real estate company) they are liable and if this were to go to any form of court, I'd win. So, my guess is they pay for it.

If the court costs outweigh the repair costs, they'll settle it instantly.
