grrr... actually I think i used to be guilty of the same attitude, but now im very aware of people acting this way.. even myself---
my parents -- especially my mom make me so upset---
I just ate dinner like an hour ago... i had gone into the kitchen two hours before that but my mom was cooking for my dad, so i decided to wait... then I made myself food, and then ten minutes ago she screamed from the living room-- DID YOU FEED THE DOG? which i hadnt yet.. she'd told me to do it an hour earlier and i said i would after I ate... and I was about to, but I was working on my novel-- so I yelled back NO.. NOT YET! and she screamed back WHATTTTT YOU SAID YOU WOULD FEED HER! GET OVER HERE NOW!!!!! And she proceeeds to scream at me, saying I was lying about having just eaten a while ago, and telling me im irresponsible..while I get my dog some food and put it outside for her. And calling me disrespectful.. I am sorry, I am not perfect, but I have a lot more respect for them than they have for me... especially under the circumstance... ughhhh--

That's how parents are BonnieBon. Parents expect you to do things the second they request. The fear that if they are not done then they will not get done. I am living with my nephews and being given an active role in their lives and seeing the actuall disapointment when you ask them to do something they say they will at a certain time and when they do not you are kinda disapointed. I fully understand where you are comming from but at the same time I fully understand where your parents are comming from. The lecture not needed you are an adult but the expression of disapointment ... yeah kinda needed and that is another thing you will understand when you are a parent.
